[Sat, Dec. 16 @ 4pm] Holiday Party at Katie's
I am still waiting for my taillights. :( hopefully they will come soon. I would just leave and let the fedex guy leave them on the doorstep but I don't want them sitting outside all night. I might still be able to make it up there. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Thank you, Katie and Paul and all DCMM members, Great party.
Tons of food and drinks: Ham, Ribs, Dumbling, Noodles, Spiced chicken, "Mini" Chocolate, Dips & chips,etc.... I have gained 2 pounds today.

I am glad that I got to make it up there even though I was a few hours late. Thanks for hosting the party Katie and Paul. It was a good time and it was nice to meet everyone that was there! Can't wait to hang out with everyone again!
Random things I was talking to people about last night:
C'était un rendez-vous (the drive through Paris thing):
There was a documentary (it's in french) released/made in May 2006 that shows the car used. It was a Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9 and the Ferrari noise was overdubbed as the Merc was a 4-Speed Automatic. I was wrong about the driver though, he was from F1.
Drinking Chocolate:
Made by a company called Schokinag. It was profiled on Food Network and it sounds extremely tasty.
Death (Comic by Neil Gaiman):
There were 2 books.
Death: The High Cost of Living
and
Death: The Time of Your Life
They were a sort of spin-off from the whole Sandman series but are still very good.

That was an excellent party, if I do say so myself. Plenty of yummy food, fun gifts and great company.
It workrd out so well that I think it should be an annual thing. We managed to cram 13 MINIs in our driveway, so parking wasn't a problem...except for those who got blocked in.
Now that y'all know where our house is, come by and visit if you're ever in the neighborhood.
Thanks to everyone for bringing food and drink and yourselves.
Happy Holidays!
P.S. we have lots of leftovers....anyone hungry?

Matt, I don't think I'll see you for a while...do you need it? We'll frobably at the LDG thingy, but that's not 'til Feb.
You could always come by to get it if you really need it.

Had to sell the Z to finance a trip overseas, sold the Honda to get $$$ for the MINI. Paul switched to Subarus for a while, even had a WRX.
Dumped them all for 2 MINIs and a Subaru Legacy wagon (our "truck").
Yeah, our road is "the" road to rip up if you have any kind of decent car. Unfortunately, we get kids doin' 75 past our house sometimes...I keep waiting to hear a crash....yeah, I drive my car fast on it too, but not that fast...
great party! thanks to katie and paul! Thanks for the meds, katie. they helped. if they didn't i woulda been outside more. I like my new MINI hat. good seeing everyone again! happy new year and happy holidays to all!
