Where to get tires.
Where to get tires.
Where is a good place to get new tires in the NOVA area (Woodbridge, Stafford, Fredericksburg) and what type are good. I want to stay with the run flats since I don't feel like messing with finding somewhere for a spare. I want to get good tires but not the most expensive. Thanks for any help.

IMHO the best RF tire for the Mini is the Perelli Eufori (if you are looking for a performance tire). Tire Rack has them for $185 each & shipping is very cheap. I had the Pirelli's on my Mini & they were fantastic in the twisties. Most around here trash the runflats & say they don't handle as good as non-RF's but I never had anyone run off & leave me behind in the twisties when I had the Perelli's

I have a set of SSR rims that I use for autocross. I have had tires mounted changed, flipped and changed again and again. The rims, well the parts that they touch, look new. The scratches on the SSR's spokes are from cones and me transporting them without bags
.
I am lucky enough to have more than one set of rims for my car. Rather than wait for the car, most of the time I just drop off the rims and come back a day or two later then mount the tires at home.

I just got Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position S-03's the other day from them on the cheap. They're having a closeout sale on them, so I got 205/50 R16s for only $100/tire! You could check their website to see if they have them in your size.
And so far, so good with them. I really haven't tried them out to their max potential yet as my MINI is slightly broke (tie rod end on front driver wheel is loose) and they're still being broke-in, but that should be fixed soon, and I plan on dropping by the Dragon on my way back to DC!
