[Sat, Sept 23] Philly Cheesesteak and Helix Run
Helix run
Didn't follow the group - left home at 11:20am and still got there before the DC/VA/Md contingent and no I didn't drive substanialy over the limit.
Cleaned my white wheels and the driver side of my MINI and did a family portrait with my favorite ride that would be suitable for a Christmas card.
Visited the brewery nextdoor
Saw the liberty bell
And finished up with a cheese steak from Pat's
Awesome day - thanks for the hospitality Eric
Proud of the DCMETROMINI turnout - what a great club.

Well, that was fun!
Good meeting old & new folks.
NEMINIs, hopefully soon I'll be up in my old 'hood' and be tearing up the Bear with you's!!
And thanks to Krut, Helix & Co., and everyone else that helped to put today together!
On my way home, I ended up meeting up with one of my buddies that just moved to Ft. Meade. Just got home. Sleepy!!
-Paul!

Looks like a really fun day - I'm sorry I had to miss it. I didn't get home from work on Friday night until after 4am though, so I was a total zombie until Saturday afternoon.
Glad you all had a great time though!

Thanks to DCMM for organizing this! We had a great time even if the weather, for us, was crappy in the AM. Good to see old faces and meet some new ones!
We are all looking forward to a crabcake run!! You let us know when and we'll do our best to be there!
Peter.....bear tear....when???

Thanks to Eric and Helix for hosting... Who knew you could fit that many MINIs onto your street!

I'm sure in time I will do just fine taking pictures while driving.
I am worried about that.. because second to my love of motoring, is my love of photography.
Its little Joshua...HAPA and Paige's new baby!!!
Not sure about you being awake by Saturday afternoon...I saw you on Pratt Street in Baltimore @5:55pm. I yelled your name - several times...nope, you never heard or saw me. Of course I was driving a horse drawn carriage, so not like I was tooling around in my MINI.YES!! Great pictures all around!! Dale and I are very sorry we couldn't make it...next time for sure!

Windows down. No, I don't think you turned your head. I figured that being slightly behind you and if you had any type of music on that you wouldn't hear me. I didn't go hoarse over it though (pun intended).
I was so excited, made Monty (the horse I was driving) walk faster to try and catch you before the light changed. I was also like 3 lanes over too.
Oh, well, note to other MINI drivers out there, wave to the carriage drivers in Baltimore.

Thanks - glad you're all enjoying the pics!

Hmmmmmm ^ so much "shading"
ssallykat, great gallery! I also started motoring with a CVT and shooting with a P&S camera.
It was easier to do both at the same time. Now, however, shifting and trying to get a decently framed shot from a DSLR (without looking though the viewfinder while driving
) is almost impossible! You'll need a navigator for tunnel shots, like this:

(benzamg took that handheld at 1/10 exposure!)
Hollar when you guys want to do a "Bear Tear"
