Brits By the Bay - July 29 - Anyone ever go?

It's a vintage British car show organized by a Triumph club. It will be in Pasadena, MD.

If anyone has gone in te past years how was it? Many Mini's there?

My boss might be showing up with his MBG, assuming he got his radiator problem fixed.

We haven't been before, but I think we might be going. It's been awhile since we've been able to show Frankie - all the shows we wanna go to in PA, MD, or VA keep getting rained on!!! If you really wanna know how many are pre-registered, just email them at BritsByTheBay@tracltd.org Hopefully, we'll get enough people to come out so that we have our own MINI class!!

I believe this one is a VINTAGE show Frankie, unlike some of the other shows that accept modern cars too. Still be fun to go see though. And if a bunch of modern MINI's do go, and part together in the attendee's lot... Instant MINI show ;-)

Actually the sales manager guy at Tate got and invite from the people running the thing for some MINIs. Katie was given the information which she passed onto Dave. But as Dave has gone MIA or AWOL or some other acronym I think that's why it never really got out there.

Oh, OK. I knew he gave her the flyer, I did NOT know they were soliciting MINI's vs Mini's. I thought it was just a heads up 'bought a show. Sorry for the confusion... The two shows I go to are careful not to say 'Vintage' British...

I just sent em a email to them to ask for clarification. Wouldn't want to tick off a bunch of Mini owners by having unwelcome MINI owners show up in force. I'll report back what if anything I hear.

Guess I should've hung on to the flyer, but I didn't know that Dave would vanish.
Good move, Mark...last time I tried to park near Minis (at another show in Pittsburgh), they frowned and said not only was I too new, I was also a BMW.

Ahhh, good thinking. I'll wait to hear on the 'vintage' debate....but we'll probably go anyways. Any reason to go to a british car show is reason enough for us!

I say we show up...not as participants, just as onlookers. No harm, no foul.

Yeah, I'm with you on that one. Jonathan and I decided that we're gonna go anyways, so watch for the red MINI with white stripes - front and back - in the parking lot. There's a pic of Frankie in our gallery, but it's from the side so you only see me in the passenger seat lol. But I'll prob have my DCMINI id on me, so say hi if you see me or Jon!

only one vintage Mini, which was a beauty and a 1980 Traveler. That was it for Minis...I was hoping to see more. Lots of other cool Brit cars including some really unusual ones. I had never heard of or seen a Healey Interceptor before...very sharp.
Was nice to see Karen and Jon and say howdy.

One of my roomies had a Jensen Interceptor in our garage. I don't know that he ever got it running again, not while he lived there. But I'd agree very sharp looking!

We had a BLAST at the show! We were very happy that we actually got to show Frankie for the first time in forever! And Frankie was definitely in a good mood the rest of the day : ) Glad we got to catch up with a few of the DCMMs that came to catch the show!
