A little something from Sunshine Minis Forum

This is from the MOTD 2006 part of the SM Forum. Pay particular attention to the last, big post. I know some of you may recognize his name.

Thank God sndwave reminds us why we have MOTD in the first place: to meet people and to have a good time. His friendly attitude is the essence of being part of the MINI Community.

Wow... after reading the post over on sunshine I'm speechless (online that is).... Yelling a lot of stuff around the house, but I've just got nothing to say online about that heartwarming post...

all I can say is...typical. He also called one of our members "a bald-faced liar" Pat forgot his meds again... I'm getting reeeally sick of his maniacal ranting. I'm sure that everyone's already aware of his animosity towards us...I wonder why he feels the need to keep on...like some lame broken record

He wants to do a Burn-out contest....won't the folks at Fontana be pleased with permanent burn marks in their parking lot(s).

Oh, ok. The only reason I posted this was because at first, sndwave was nice and saying thanks to DCMM and stuff. Than I find this on SSM and was suprised. I am also JustJay on SSM. Didn't really want to start a WAR.

That niceness lasted one post. Later on, also here on NAM, he conveniently "forgot" his niceness again. We got into quite a flame war in the MOTD4 forum. I also said some things I probably shouldn't have, but it's too late now, what's done is done... and I'm not going back to edit those old posts.

As I recall, there was another series of posts with the same general undercurrent of hostility in another thread on SSM leading up to MOTD... I was steered there by another DCMM member a few months back...

Either way though, his attitude just isn't worth you guys loosing any sleep over... YOU ALL know that your efforts were appreciated by a great many of those who attended this year's event... Don't let the comments of one or two detractors take you all down...

Yeah, even if it was from someone who abandoned the club just because the government would put him in jail if he didn't go to California.

I am glad to see the Sunshine is going to do a dinner next year. I am all for as many clubs as possible being involved in the Dragon. The strong feeling seems to be that a committee of clubs should take up Dragon planning. That's fine with me and I support it. Maybe DCMM will do an event next year. Maybe we won't. Maybe we will just schedule some fun things for our members. Whatever WE chose to do will be the best thing for us.

I am sure we'll all be going to the Dragon for many many years to come and having a good time.

Sndwave is right that DCMM does not own the event and that nothing needs to be run past us. We've never wanted to own it and we never will. We got stuck doing a lot more than we had planned for 2006 and we did a good job of it and people had fun. Kudos to us...pat on the back...and lets move on.

Snooter is a great guy who I enjoyed getting to know. I will totally suport him!

Thanks Jen, Can I have your room now

Unfortunately you can't please everyone. I think DCMINI did a great job. I felt sorry for you's because it seems like you got stuck doing more than your share this year.

I'm very new to the Sunshine Mini's, so it does not look like I'll be able to help with the planning of the dinner.(they have a commitee of several "older" members working on it) But I'm glad to see that they are going to do one.

Oh yeah, Atlanta mini people, you did a great job at the Chili Cook-off too
