Oddly enough... They said congratulations. Ummm, why? They replied for getting Bill canned. Bill at Tate? Yup.

I don't know the story, and heard it from people in the loop, not the horses mouth, but it seems after getting all my stuff resolved with Tate this last time, and putting my foot in enough people's rear ends because it took them 1 week to do 30 mins worth of work to fix the shifter I had overnighted to them. Arg.

Anyhow, rumour has it the day after it was settled, he either got fired or put in his resignation and left... Leaving 50 open work orders/tickets for Caroline to take care of on top of her own.

Tate just moved a step up the rung of dung in my book. If they could get another Will Mitchell or other superstar service advisor, Tate just might be peachy keen again. Might...

I think I said "This guy is an a**! He needs to go!" to Rick the Manager - that was when my JCW kit got messed up.

 

Two weeks ago (after I took Streghina in for the supercharger by pass) I received a call from Laura (?) from Tate asking about my service experience and I told her a few things about the SA situation and how unhappy I was that every time I go in I find someone new. I ended the call saying " As I am thinking of buying another MINI, I wonder if I should go to Towson and pretend that Tate doesn't exist. It really pisses me off as a customer I need to look elsewhere to spend my next $32K. Chris was good, Will was the best .. what's next? " (BWT I have an old e-mail of mine where I was stating that Bill will not have last very long - I just knew it !!)

I believe, however, that new Service Mgr is trying hard to clean up MINI Service but he is also dealing with TATE business philosophy and their cheap way to do business. After three years of dealing with this dealership and having dealt with their employees (sale, service etc.) I can say that TATE is never going to have a MINI mentality and will continue to be a mediocre dealership.

Given my prior experiences with Tate, I won't disagree. I could say a whole lot more, but not here-too many eyes & ears.

 

Since there are a few of us that dislike Tate so much, why do we still have the breakfast there?

 

To recruit new members, and give them forewarning and options regarding Tate? :D

 

I talked with Caroline on Monday. She said she was promoted to the Asst. Service Manager spot (Bill's old Job) and is training the new girl.

I congratulated her even though she seemd unhappy about the promotion but happy Bill was gone.

 

Caroline is just nervous. Give it some time-she'll be fine, just have some faith.

It must be another Caroline working there then. This a.m . I dropped off Streghina and chat with Caroline. She is VERY HAPPY and she is planning to stay for a while because she likes her job,actually I was joking with her and asked " What is Will M wants to come back to work here?" Her answer was "I hope no because he will take my position and this is mine now"

This morning I left Streghina (repairs for the noise in back - which btw was leaking oil - and IPOD set up) and I had Electra (the Blue MCSa) waiting for me. Caroline called this afternoon about my MINI not being ready - TATE never repairs my car in one day - but I don't care as long as she is ready to go Friday morning, plus I am excited about finally having my iPOD in the car (kinda of expensive but it was long overdue !!)

PS: I am having a ball driving Electra with the automatic shift and driving heel and toe with my stiletto heels -

 

I have a appt for Friday to stop by for a vibration and noise. Will be happy to see Caroline with her new position.
