Congratulations to Erik808 who placed 3rd in the STS class (out of 9 drivers!) in Sunday's autocross event!!! (He woulda got 2nd if some stoopid cone hadn't jumped in front of his wheel on his third and fourth runs! Those cones are crazy.) Hey EriK808 - I hope EriC got some good piccies of you as you were dancing with the cones. Maybe you should post some of them here, if they turned out okay.

Baronious did great too, getting 2nd place in ESP class. I was working the track while he was driving, and gosh, he is a good driver. He's got a neat looking car, even if it isn't a MINI. :smile:

The only other person driving a MINI yesterday was me, and I, ah, placed 2nd (out of 2 drivers ) in GS class.

I would also like to mention Beastmaster, to thank him for coming out to the track to cheer us on and regale us with gossip about some of the other drivers and their cars.

It was great seeing you all again - Erik808, Beastmaster, Baronious - and I can't wait for the next event!!

no tornado sightings? you guys were right in the prime area of oahu for severe weather yesterday.

the rain came down hard ~5 pm in east honolulu, right about the time i was gonna go surf. came down so hard, i think i coulda caught a ride down to the beach from the drainage canal behind my house.

i'll be at february's event, ready to go! my parents were out of town this past week/weekend and i had to house sit and take care of the dog and do all the motherly duties

 

what, house-sit? no house-party?

i'm looking forward to the spring fling thing. still no auto-x for me. ewa plains is too far for me on a sunday. heck, driving to town or eastside for surf on sunday is far enuff. especially after driving 50-60 miles roundtrip 5x/week. that's a fill-up at least every week. add to the drive that unreal twister occurrence and i say forget it, it's too dangerous to go out there on a leisurely sunday drive.

and yes, i know that weeky drive doesn't compare to erik808, but he has evolved into a mini-driving fanatic, since picking up his mini this past fall. is that 20k miles yet, erik808? in like 4-6 months?

You were smooth & a flying!! Chances are that I'll be there after lunch come both February and March's events.
