I know this clashes with the TATE breaky but I am sure that we could change the breaky if we are interested in the parade...

I have just got an email from a guy who would like the help of our DCMM car's for a OXFORD Day parade: (Oxford MD not Oxford UK silly wackers..)

So here is the details and you will need to let me know by the end of Wednesday (or thursday morning at the very latest).

Time Meet at Oxford MD at 10:30
parade starts at 11:00am

Requirements: 1 clean MINI

Direstions:

1 ....... 495 (parking lot - erm - Beltway)
2 ....... Take the US-50 E exit (ANNAPOLIS / RICHMOND (Portions toll)).
3 ....... Merge onto US-50 E / Ocean GTWY towards Ocean City
4 ....... Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto MD-322 / EASTON BYP / EASTON PKWY
5 ....... Turn RIGHT onto MD-333 / OXFORD RD. Continue to follow MD-333
6 ....... when you are in town and at the water turn RIGHT onto "The Strand"
Some one will be there to direct us to the start of the parade

I would recommend meeting up just before the town so that we can all drive in together. If we have interest I will arrange a meeting place if no one else can suggest where we will meet... any suggestions for a VA lad ?????

He had 10 MINI's last year and wants to have atleast 10 - 20 (do I here more ???) MINI's this year....

Anyhow sorry for the short notice but I only got the info yesterday and the blooming event is on this (saturday the 22nd April)

Drive time from Washington DC = 1H 42 Minutes
Distance from Washington DC = 82.5 Miles
Weather for Oxford MD Saturday 22nd April 2006 = 70 Degrees and cloudy (with a chance of a few showers..... )

I love to go over the CB Bridge and love Oxford and the Eastern Shore !!! I am open to the idea of going and skip Tate.

The only problem in the afternoon we need to get together for the MOTD 06 Bag Stuffing Party @ Sherill's. Can we make both?

I reckon that we could do both, so it is a timing issue and let's see if we can get a few more DCMMers to join us and see if we can make it a club event.... Yeah I like driving over the bridge too....

 

geezz...well, y'all do what you want....I'm still going to be having the breakfast. If no-one shows, then there's more for me to eat, like I need it.
I can't do the breakfast the next Sat. as that's the day before I leave for the Dragon and will be doing alot of last minute stuff....sorry.

Don't cancel the breakfast, you are right the following Saturday is way toooooooo close to the Dragon. I am not sure if I' m going to Oxford, plus I am waiting confermation for a "special" visit I had planned for the breakfast, and need to see Rick, although I am visiting TATE on Friday - Streghina makes a funny noise and it's really annoying !!

Due to lack of interest and the short notice and the Tate Breaky conflict, I have decided to let the organiser's know that the DCMM will not attend this Oxford Parade as there was only 3 takers.

Oh well Mr Event co ordinator's first event plan shot down.... oh it hurts sooooo bad....

Off to slash my wrists now....

The MINIs will have another chance BWT are we going to do the 4th of July Parades Capitol Hill and Annapolis this year as well? Mr. event coordinator PM me about this -
