Streghina is acting weird
OK maybe I am wrong maybe I am right but my Little One is acting more like a Turbo than a Supercharger.
The last couple of days I noticed a lag time between the releasing of the clutch and the time the car gets going.. Tonight I was trying to floor the gas (over 5,000 rpm) but the car won't go... it takes about 2 seconds ... then she is OK.
I have noticed that the clutch seems a bit stiff and releases a little later than I like but.. should not make a difference. Any suggestions?
Sunday I will be autoxing and already nervous about being at FEDEX Field (1st time) and I really don't need to be worry about Streghina... Is she upset because I am toying with the idea of buy another MINI?
It's true I am searching for a 2005-6 MCS hardtop, but I 'll keep Streghina for the nice weather...

No changes. She is in the garage at night with her cover and gas is the same as usual (I go to the same gas station in Annapolis).
This morning it happened again, once only ... it was almost stalling .. second and third gear no problem.

Sounds to me like a sticking or failing supercharger bypass valve. Also, make sure the vacuum line to the bypass valve diaphragm is not kinked or loose. This can happen with a JCW intake installed.

Good luck

She has only two dings ,, where is the third one?? I am not considering trade in I am considering an additional MINI - hardtop - to autocross and to use in the winter months.. I am very attached to Streghina but there are some limitations to things she can do.
Have you been bad mouthing her in Italian?
NEVER !! I'm never mad at her... it's true she had several little problems: the top, the glove box, the tire sensor etc but are minor issues after all... maybe she has a crash on one of the mechanics at Tate
Today we did the Autox event at FEDEX. She was OK... still at times it feels like there is not enough power ... but that could be my driving...
