DC SCCA *MINI ONLY* Autocross Weekday Schools April 17-20

At the Mini of Towson meeting Wed evening, Brian Garfield announced some MINI-only autocross driver schools. I see he has already posted the announcement here on NAM and you can see the link clicking here.

His planned dates for one-day schools are April 17 | 18 | 19 | 20 (two weeks before the Dragon) and each day is limited to SIX cars. Brian told me that he is THE instructor and that the 6 people will be handled in two groups of three (which I presume means 3 driving and 3 reset the cones that get knocked over). Sounds to me like you will get a LOT! of track time. I can attest to the fact that Brian is a great instructor .

Again -- click here for details.

Just to clarify, this is 2.5 weeks before the Dragon, is it not? May 4-7?

For all you MINIACS out there who have considered autocrossing or just want to enjoy the thrill of what your MINI has to offer you should sign up. Brian is one of the top MINI autocrossers in the nation and I promise that you will have a blast regardless of your skill level.

as the famous maker of footwear says, Just Do It!!!

I would like to second MINIMiller and Tom. I have gone to three of these schools taught by Brian. This is a day of fun and well worth the cost. It is also a great way to get to know your MINI even if you do not want to autocross. The time to learn about overstear, understear and the like is not on the highway when something is blocking your lane.

Yeah, unfortunately, the weekends all get booked early in the season for the regular schools (check the site at http://solo.wdcr-scca.org/noviceSchool.php) so these type of events have to be organized during the week.
The next regular Level 1 and Level 2 schools are June 17th and 18th.
