There are a few employees and fellow mini drivers from the Sterling dealership that are going to the CarGuys track event at Summit Point in WV on March 3rd and 4th. It's a 3 day event but they are going to do 2 of them. If interested,there may be a nice discount still available through the Sterling dealership. Check it out at www.carguys.com. Peace.

 

Last year there had been some discussion of MoS sponsoring a track day this Spring at Summit Pointe like Towson did last fall. Any idea if this is still likely to happen? Sometime before May (when MINIs on the Dragon happens) would be great, scheduling-wise.

Paul!, do you know if Mike Arata is still thinking along these lines? If the pricing is close to what Towson set up, then that might be more attractive than the CarGuys days (or in addition too )

I talked with Mike briefly at the Breakfast at Sterling last weekend. He mentioned that he could save up for a while and do a driving school. I don't know anything more specific than that though.

 

I have a friend who is an insturctor there... If we can join up with a BMW group we can rent the track for a weekend. See below...

I am more than willing to assist your Mini club get more involved with track and driving events. So, if anyone has additional questions, have them call me or I am more than willing to come out to your next meeting.

One of the sales reps mentioned that the dealership is working towards sponsoring a track day later this year for minis. But, it was just mentioned to me that at least 5 of the employees who are mini owners are going to the Car Guys event themselves. A couple of days at the track with other minis there should be very nice.
