We made it....

Yep, we made it across country in one piece!!!!

I have now added 4 new states to my list of states I've been to. I have added a few to the list I have no desire to live in. I saw tumbleweed cross the highway; met MINI friends in St. Louis; and had a blast.

All the animals and peoples are well on the left coast. We are not fully unpacked yet -- but getting there. We like the house, even with a few quirks --- but I am loving the weather. We have highs in the 80's and lows in the 40's --- and NO humidity. We don't have AC and frankly there is like one hour a day on some days that I might think I miss it.

We are already getting active with MINI people here!!! But we miss our old friends. Please tell me someone has taken up my job of making fun of Paul? And what's the news on Jen --- is she in Mexico?

Hugs to all,
PB

Congrats on the roadtrip.

Good luck on the unpacking. It usually takes months and months to get fully unpacked, but it's always like Christmas when you open a new box and find something pleasantly unexepected, usually because you forgot you had it.

Miss you guys already... but glad that you're settling in well. I've only visited California a few times, and always been in awe at how fantastic the weather felt. Who knows, I may move there myself one day.

In the meantime, I hope to see you guys once in a while - if you come back through DC, or if I happen to travel through that area. Heck, at a bare minimum, I hope you'll make it to the Dragon sometimes!

I'm still here for the moment. My project got pushed back a week - no big surprise eh? - so I leave for Mexico on the 22nd now.

Glad that you have made it, are starting unpacking and have checked in with us. Send your address for proper housewarming gifts - and also your good bye gift which I still have! Can't promise I will mail them before I get back, but they will eventually get your way!

You left?

Kidding! Glad to hear that you made it in one piece!! Hopefully nothing got lost, misplaced, or broken on the move. That always seems to be the most... err, exciting (?) part!

And who knows, maybe we'll have a DCMM cross-country trip to come visit!

-Paul!
