I would like to leave Port Deposit between 8:00 and 8:45, i have shortened the run up a bit(20 miles or so of dirt), so I am hoping that it will be ~3hrs, this will get us in to Towson between 11 and 12.
Its gong to be a last minute decision for me

ok here is the list:

Grumbler
LaStrega
Stella
ChiliBit
WagnBat
BgBdWlf
VanderSpunk(?)
KCollins(?)
Matthewz(?)

please bring:
1. radio 7-21
2. the food for the BBQ

there is a caravan starting in annapolis ~7am. i really dont want to wait out on rt 50 again for cmdrvines, so lets meet in front of the circuit city in the annapolis mall.

for those not meeting in annapolis, it takes ~50 minutes for us to get from there to Port Deposit. I figure this will give us time for bathroom breaks and snack breaks. so if you call 410-562-0704 or 410-919-8673 I should be able to give you an idea when the group will get there.

have fun, cya all there.

How do I get to Annapolis Mall? I only ever go to Tate, "that mexican place", and Academy or the Naval Station.

if you are coming from the east bound rt50, take west street exit, then first right onto jennifer road. circuit city is a left at the third stop light and is a separate building from the mall.

if you are coming west bound, take the jennifer road exit, a left at the light, and a right at the next stop light.

The pre-BBQ run was fun despite the numerous GPS, user, and other miscellaneous obstacle errors.

I'll be posting pics in my Gallery, and on the MiniUSA events gallery shortly after I get the pics my 'ride-alongs' took.

EDIT: Btw, I still have someone's radio, from the pre-run. Please PM me so we can discuss how to best return it.

Thanks, thanks to DCMM

Thanks to everyone at DCMM who made this event happen. Deb and I had a good time. Special thanks, a lot, to Paul and Jen! You guys were great to get everything going. And then, you worked the grills. Hats off to you.

Dave, it was great to talk with you about Australia. I was the guy with the red hat who actually knew the name of the capital city. Okay readers -- what is the name of Australia's capital? Bzzzzt!

Mark and Marcie, it was great to meet you. Deb and I really enjoyed the conversation in the cool shade of the showroom.

Vince and Bea, in case we don't see you again before you leave, have a great trip.

Paid $5 before we left

Marina, I paid my $5 at Towson. I was the one who walked up to you by the cakes and gave you a $5 bill just before I left about 2:30. I walked up just behind someone else (Marcie) who gave you 5 $1 bills at the same time.

I had a GREAT time...except for when I almost broke my ankle. That was a little embarrassing.

It was so nice to see some of you guys again and meet some cool new folks, too.

I forgot how much fun those MINI functions can be. Thanks so much for organizing it!!

ps...Kate...I'm sorry I missed Paul and didn't get to say bye...I felt the need to get back to the apt. for a bit and sit in the air conditioning and then took a completely un-planned disco nap on the couch for like 2 hours.
Let's get together for sushi soon or something!!

That was a lot of fun!! Thanks to everyone for the great turnout! And extra special thanks to Jen for getting it all off of the ground, bringing the grill, and somehow loading that gi-normous cooler in you car and bringing it along!!! I still don't know how you got that in your car by yourself!

And I know at least some pics were taken. Hopefully we'll see them online soon!

I finally figured out the last movie I saw in a theater. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Way to go Paul for sticking it out in the heat at the grill that whole time... Good job!

And the answer to the question above (without searching the web first) is Brisbane but pronounced brisbin...

Good thing you typed it, then. Not worried about the arbus, I put it up for adoption; it's going to a good home :-)

I planned to share it anyhow, it's nearly impossible to go through THAT much by myself.

How was hitchhiker's guide? Have yet to see it. It was pretty much "off the radar" for me. Fan of the book, but had NO idea a movie was coming.

The answer to the "capital question" is Canberra - pronounced "can-bra". But since I'm an Aussie too, I guess I'll be told I was cheating as well. AND I have also been there - is that a double cheat?

I'm sorry I missed it yesterday, it sounds like you all had a great time. I'll hopefully catch up with you all again soon.

Matthew, I haven't seen HGTTG either, but I wanted to. Is it still in theatres? I'd be up to going if it still is. I have fond memories of the TV series, I just wonder if the movie did a good job of it all too.

Mike, Brisbane is the capital of the state of Queensland. Been there too.

Sorry we missed Jen and Paul after the BBQ on Saturday. Thanks Paul for serving up the great hamburgers and standing over the hot grill. Jen thanks for your work. The ride was great and we saw some country we hadn't been through.

Hope to see most of you before we leave for Kentucky the end of July.

What exactly differentiates a normal nap from a disco nap?

krut? oooooooo k.

What a great turnout....thanks all for coming!
Thanks to the grill meister, Paul, and Mike and Tina for getting that extra grill.
Thanks to all for bringing so much yummy food. The staff at Towson feasted on the leftovers, which were substantial.

The MINI cookies were the best looking food there, tho' I didn't eat one. I'm sure they were tasty.

Laur, definitely. Keep in touch and we'll arrange a sushi night. Paul was sorry he missed you.

Mike and Tina, come down to Annapolis some night or weekend for a meal....Tina, yunz and I can talk about Pburgh an' at.

Sorry our board meeting took so long, and that we didn't get a chance to say goodbye to all our new friends. Hopefully, we'll see you all in the future.

Katie Williams (just in case you forgot my name )
