actually, my thought was to meet at port deposit, md, then head over on 1, then some back roads to rocks state park, then find some way to gunpowder falls, and then end up in towson.

They are good people. I ordered my Cooper from them 3 years ago and now am waiting on my new S that I ordered from them last month.

The dealership is only about a mile from my house, too. I could walk over to the BBQ.

just to make things clear...
I WILL NOT be joining in the caravan/drive/whatever from the Port Deposit area.
I say this because Towson is a whole 30 minute drive to the east from where I live.

...bring a clean pair of socks.

(overall trip is estimated @100miles.......if we are running late, we can jump on I83 and get there pretty quick.) The big deal with Port Deposit is not the town, its the bridge/dam you cross the river with, very cool spot, no ability to stop there however. (actually, i have no idea as to the condition of the roads, but from the squiggles on the computer screen......the roads are pretty generic up to state parks except one or two that are quite good.........there is even a Cooper road.........now for the good news, I have obtained the use of a Garmin Quest........with which I can download this route and never miss a turn.

I am thinking 9am..........leaving sometime after that......kinda hoping there is a coffee shop in that little town. I would like to get a head--light count before the BBQ. I dont think we are looking at more than a few cars, so it should be an easy drive.

I think I will be driving the route sometime this weekend, so I will have a better idea of where(exactly) to meet.

hello,
I am not a member yet, but would like to check out the towson BBQ. So far, ive tried to join two other groups and they were a bust. First one needed a leader, second one no one showed up to the last meetup but me. Id like to see what your group is like before I commit to membership. Ill bring cookies.
I am the proud owner of an '05 all black MINI cooper. Looking forward to meeting all of you.

I think you'll like our group. We've been a formal group with paying members since June of 2003. Typically at least 20-30 cars show up for our driving events and we also have social non-driving events such as our monthly breakfasts at Tate and dinners during the winter season etc.

You are more than welcome to come to the BBQ at Towson. Send your RSVP to events@dcmetrominis.org.

I am sure Paul would like to have another all black MC in the club!
