I'll be there! I went to a different day that they hosted, and it was very informative and fun! It was when they 'unveiled' the MC40. They talked about mods, what they recommended and didn't, shown us all some mods up close, let us look underneath a MINI on a lift, shown the computer used to update the ECU, had snacks, had little MINI advertisements and 'gimme's (i.e., the maverick cards, etc.,) up for grabs, and at the end, a raffle for $500 off a JCW installation and other items! Plus, they gave everyone a MINI of Towson hat, as featured in our Christmas party!

I definitely recommend heading out there if at all possible!

-Paul!

I was told 7. Leaving work early and heading from VA to Towson is going to be a major ouch during rush hour. Anyone got some bad roads?

They told me they start at 6:00 pm but won't get into the "really good stuff" until 7:00 PM. I am planning to leave work in DC at 4:00 pm in order to be sure I can be there at 6:00 pm.

Ciao,
I don't have a Hyper Blue S, but I do know Benn. My husband and I bought our second MINI from him. Good guy.

I bought my BRG MCS from Benn also, he's a nice guy. Although I did know a bit more about the car than he did at times (at least so it seemed, he might have been playing dumb).

Also, they have a website up for events at www.minitowsonevents.com and it even lists the time as 6pm.

I'm going to be there as well. There's no two ways about it...traffic will be horrible, so please give yourselves lots of time to get there as early as possible. During rush hour, all roads are bad, so I plan on just resigning myself to the 695(Baltimore Beltway) battle.

Yes, the event time is 6:00 pm, but they indicated to me that although the event starts at 6:00 pm they will not get into the really good stuff and get the event really moving until 7:00 pm.
I inquired because with traffic from DC I might be running late.

I want to go -- but I'm doubtful that my work will think its cool for me to have one more SHORTENED week. I've not worked a full week in awhile -- so this could be more difficult. Plus I'd have BOY in tow -- will they him test drive anything?

Hugs,
PB

I've been to this event before, and it is more than worth the hassle of sitting in potential traffic jams. And after all, you'd be sitting in your MINI, so it cant be all THAT bad.

Be prepared to learn things about your car that you might not have thought about, share in any helpful hints you may have discovered, and enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow MINIacs. And most of all, enjoy the time spent with a dealer service department unlike anything else in the state. Want a pulley or CAI or whatever added to your car but you dont have the tools, know-how or anyone to do it> They'll do just about anything. And not hassle you about potential warranty issues like so many other dealers seem to do.

Sounds awesome, I would love to make it... and I'm going to try damn hard to do just that. I just joined DCMM today... if Mark Vaughn is going to be there, perhaps I can give my membership check in person?
