How long from VDC to Dealer

For those that got their cars how long from the VDC to the dealers?

Do they come from Newark port or the Baltimore port?

Ours comes into NY on the 16th and Baltimore on the 18th. Trying to estimate possible arrival.

Road trip in the works!

Look on the Wallenius site under cargo tracking, and then auto cargo, and enter VIN. It will show destination port.

Your car will come into the Port of New York. The ship docks in Bayonne NJ. It should take no more than 3 days to be offloaded in New York pass through the VPC and be at Tate, Towson or Sterling.

However, if there is a backlog (which has occured this time of year in the past), a paperwork problem, or your car doesn't pass an inspection at the VPC the car could be delayed.

Best case 72 hours after the ship docks in New York and the car should arrive at the dealer. The average is probably 3 to 4 days from the pier to a DC area dealer. Worst case could be upwards of 14 days.

If you're thinking of going up to Bayonne to see your car at the VPC, my suggestion is don't. They won't let you in to the VPC and there's no guarantee that you could A) find the holding lots, and B) find a location to actually see what's at the holding lots.

Road trip in the car, not to see it. The best bet is Monday presidents day. I just have to hope it all goes best bet. The next weekend is fine. Bottom line is so that I can get 800 miles in less than a month (wife is a teacher) and we want to go for a road trip for spring break.

Thanks. That is SOOO soon, yet so far away. Look for a Mini C-S doing laps on the beltway.

So is it 45 miles in the loop?? That is only 20 or less laps

I just took delivery on a 2005 MCS.

It arrived in port on Jan 28 and appeared at the dealer (Sterling) on Feb 4--six days.
