DCMM Monthly Breakfast - Tate MINI - February 19

We will start up our monthly get togethers at Tate MINI of Annapolis on Saturday, February 19.

Just a reminder about our monthly breakfasts at Tate MINI in Annapolis MD. They will take place the third Saturday of each month.

Start time 9:30 am. End about 11:00 am. Tate is supplying the coffee and DC Metro MINIs the food (bagels or doughnuts or something!) Lately, we have been getting really yummy warm breakfast breads from the Amish Market.

Tate MINI is located at 25 Old Mill Bottom Road in Annapolis.

Please come out to meet the fine folks at Tate, meet current and prospective MINI owners and get the word out about our Club!

If you find out please report back. My family has two MCs from there and its the closest dealer to us.

I was in the area the other day and dropped by to inquire about this. They said "they are looking into it". I would say they understand there in a crapped space and need more. Also several other car brands have expanded their dealerships near them so its seems to be the thing to do.

Unfortunately, I won't be there for this breakfast. I'm taking advantage of the long weekend and going to visit some friends up in New York.

Have fun everyone!

No, you can only sign up through the DCMM website. We tried to take registrations in person but had some issues, it's best that you sign up through the website..

Any of you coming that have a MCS with 16" non-runflats that I could try out? I'm thinking about getting rid of the S lites but not sure whether I wanted to stsay with 17's or go to 16's, and I sure would like to test drive one first.

I may be there (depends on sked at home - but is lookn good rite now). I have a MC but it has the SS+ and so has the same ratio and ride hight as a stock MCS. Mine has the early struts (a tighter shock) so if you find someone with the same year you may want a ride in their car. Look for a Silk Green/Black Cooper with chrome mirrors and washer nips (the chrome is how you can tell mine from all the other Silk Green MINIs that will be there).

Thanks John, I would like to do an apples to apples comparrison if possible. I have an '03 MCS with an April build, so I believe I have the older struts. I really want to compare ride quality and handling performance. From everything I have read I expect the handling to be a little weaker with non runflat 16's, but the ride to be much improved. A nicer ride would be great, but I don't want to sacrifice too much in the turns.
