Braggin' Rights & BBQ - September 25

Bring your shiny MINI, a side dish, lawn chair and get ready for a little friendly competition! We'll fire up the BBQ, chew the fat, chow the food and admire our MINIS! There will be a short demo on installing graphics on your car and plenty of time to pick your favorite car or motorer in each category. After the prizes and braggin rights are handed out, we'll do a little crusing.

When: Saturday, September 25, 2004
Where: Tate MINI of Annapolis, 25 Old Mill Bottom Road in Annapolis MD
Time: 11:00 am to roughly 4:00 pm (including the cruise)
Why: Cause you know your MINI is special and you want to prove it. Braggin' rights for the year are up for grabs. Food, fun and socializing.
Food: Bring a side dish and spare to share. We'll bring the BBQ, burgers and
some sodas.

The fine print: Entries for judging are limited to 30 cars due to space limits in the show area. An unlimited number of cars can come to enjoy the fun and park elsewhere on the dealership lot. When you RSVP please indicate if you wish to enter your car, or if you are just coming out to enjoy the event.

Event fee of $3.00 for DC Metro MINI members and $5.00 for non members
RSVP by 9.17.04 to events@dcmetrominis.org.

I definitely need to get me some braggin' rights...

'Course I need to be there as Sebby's the guinea pig that's getting graphics!

Responses have been kind of slow coming in for this event - what are you all waiting for? I've got only two cars willing to show and another handful coming up to enjoy the BBQ with us. We're about two weeks away, so check your calendars!

How come this was not incorporated in with the 3rd Sat. breakfast day on the 18th? With so few responses on this, is it too late to consider that? I'm not trying to start trouble. just find out if this is a workable idea.

It'd be kind of hard, at this late date, to speed things up enough to be ready in two days... I think we just ended up between two other events, but people could be waiting to see their schedules.

I signed up, but am still awaiting an acknowledgment. I expect a special award for largest number of undiscernible mods!

Hi, whovous... You're new! Cool! Good to met you! What kind of baby do you have?

Jen's the one taking the RSVPs... PM her if you don't hear from her within a day or two of rsvping (is that a word?) See you there...

Hi Mike

Thought about it, but just not possible to do everything so quickly. We'll try it out, see what happens, and even with a small showing we'll have a good time.

What's this? Permitting a day job to get in the way of play? Shocking!

You can see a little of my baby here, though I am still learning to get the most out of the new camera...

Some of us are obviously old enough to be having "senior moments" and confusing our up coming events...

It's not OLD age (I will be 20...something next week ) it's keeping track of all these events ... I guess it happens when one has a popular car !!!

BTW Tomorrow at Tate I will make my final decision on the Cabrio: I was not too impressed with the red-orange I like the blue .. I don't know yet if I want to go with Tate or stay w/ Towson and order thru them... decisions decisions

It's not too late!

I've gotten a couple last minute RSVP's and these are totally fine. We still have lots of room - about 14 folks coming out right now. All confirmed at Tate and food shopping is tonight. Weather will hold for us - I promise - no scattered rain showers on our parade!

Crap... This means that I'll actually have to wash/wax/detail my car soon!
