What's everybody bring for their side dish?

I'm thinking I'll do some guacamole and chips... maybe bring some key lime bars... so many recipes I can't decide!

What's everybody else bringing?

Jus so everyone knows, DCMM is covering:

Burgers
Buns
Condiments
Plates/cups
Soda

I will have no time to wash my car at all this week unless I get up in the dark on Saturday AM. Is there is "dirtiest excuse for a MINI" category?

I'm going to assume that your list will include silverware? As for washing your MINI... maybe Tate will run it through the car wash for you? Otherwise, this is what gas stations cash washes are for... a ten-minute embarassment avoidance policy...

How about a shiny coupe as well?

I am bringing the MINIs' big brother, a shiny BMW Z3 coupe to show. Not sure if you can enter it, but it would make a nice display! Either way, I'll stop by after all, since my cruise this weekend was cancelled.

Sorry, no entires for MINI brothers, cousins or distant relations. But, we'll enjoy your company nonetheless. Hope the weather is as nice as today.

I've got 27 people, 20 cars on my RSVP list as of now. Won't check e mail again until Sunday AM, so if you need me call on my mobile 202-369-5667

Thank you all for coming out for a very successful event. And congratulations to our winners:

Best Car
Third Runner Up - Bruce in Blue Lighting
Second Runner Up - John R in Quckie
and our winnner -- Don is his gorgeous Indi Blue/Black MCS!

Premier Wheelman
Paul!

Premier Wheelwoman
Thanks for this everyone, but my dirty car certainly did not deserve any awards!

Tate MINI had a great time with us all out there and everyone who bought a car from Tate yesterday got lots of info about our Club which hopefully will drum up new members. Look in the future for other events like this with Tate.

Special thank you to Deb for putting together ballots, placards and clings - which will be sent out as soon as we can.

Our next event is next weekend at Glenelg Service Center, Tech Day, followed by lunch.

See you all then

Jen

Remember, Jen... Premier Wheelwoman doesn't have "car" or "MINI" anywhere in the title... that award is all about the woman. You're an awesome example of the true motoring spirit and everyone knows how much you do for the club!

Congrats to Don & Paul too! Don, you have a beautiful car! Paul, you're pretty handy with those tools! That install was not for the faint of heart even though it didn't look too difficult... it takes confidence to yank things out of your car and skills to put them back where they belong... Thanks again, Paul!

Just wanted to second NekoWoman. Its all about you, Jen.

Had a ball Saturday. Met some really great people, Jen and her husband worked way too hard. Good of NekoWoman to let us see the install. Way to go Paul.

Jen, your sustained hard work in the club is exactly why I voted for you to be "Premier Wheelwoman". You've earned it, and apparently a lot of others feel the same way. Paul "Hansom Rob" on the other hand, I think is just gettn by on his looks

I've uploaded 5 new pics from the BBQ into my gallery on MINI2. Anyone who wants any of the original files is welcome to them. Shoot an email to me at valnmike@scubadiving.com They are each ~1.6 MB or so, taken in "fine" setting with my 5 MB Nikon. -=Mike=- http://www.mini2.com/gallery/personal/gallery_8544.html

I absolutely agree with Mike, Jen. You do the most work in this club, it seems, and we (me and the hubby) appreciate it to no end. Thank you.

The BBQ was fun...thank heaven the weather co-operated cuz we wouldn't have all fit into my house.

What did Paul install and on whose car? Where was I? Sheesh...talk about senior moments...I missed the whole thing

I think we should do one more BBQ at Tate before the weather gets ugly. It was way fun!!

Paul installed the utility box cubbie (part from a 2005) into my car... I hollered for everyone to come several times. Not sure where you were... off in la-la land?

Mike's cool pic of the install from MINI2

I second the second BBQ idea... but instead of Tate, maybe we can do a BBQ lunch after one of our cruises before it gets too cold? Or what about motoring to a park, ending up late afternoon and having a little dinner party around a campfire? Some BBQ and smores would be awesome! I'd go for the day & stay and camp that night... love camping!

Anybody?

I didn't realize that someone was taking pictures of me! At least it looks like I knew what I was doing! (Of course I did know what I was doing, though! )

Anyway, that was actually fun! If anyone else needs help installing one, or another part, I'm more than happy to help out!
