Breakfast at Tate MINI - August 21

Just a reminder about the first of our monthly breakfasts at Tate MINI in Annapolis MD. The first is this coming Saturday morning, August 21. They will take place the third Saturday of each month.

Start time 9:30 am. End about 11:00 am. Tate is supplying the coffee and DC Metro MINIs the food (bagels or doughnuts or something!)

Tate MINI is located at 25 Old Mill Bottom Road in Annapolis.

Please come out to meet the fine folks at Tate, meet current and prospective MINI owners and get the word out about our Club!

So? How'd it go? I'm sorry I wasn't here, but the beach was fantastic.

Yes, Mike brought Krispy Kreme's for us. Lots of them. I ate three.....I still feel like I've gained 10 pounds four days later.

Yeah, umm, three is a lot to eat at once... I certainly never sat down and ate the better part of a dozen hot glazed in one sitting...

PS - It's absolute torture driving to work every morning passing by the KK on Rt. 1. I swear they have a fan just pumping out doughnut smell across the roadway!

The crowd varies from event to event... I'm still 16 in my head! As in just got my license and can find any excuse to drive.. but unfortunately my license seems to think I'm 34... when'd that happen??

How old are you (if I may ask)?

Criminey, that means I'll have to get KKs every time since I'm going to be doing the honors from now on...

What else was there besides KKs? Or was that it?

Drinks?

Help me out here, folks. I'd like to make this new "tradition" a good one. It has the possibility of adding new members like crazy, if we do it right.....agreed?

I was shocked and disappointed to see that they are tearing down the old building. That used to be the largest KK bakery on the East Coast, I figured when they moved into that spiffy new shop next door that they would just expand the operation.

Wonder what the plan is, did they move out of there permanently or are they going to build a modern plant where the old one was?

Just 3 boxes of KKs....MINI made coffee

I should think any breakfast food is okay... you could get bagels, muffins (good at Costco & you could buy them the day before), banana bread... I think the crowd is easy to please!

Is the club buying or are we going to have a "chip in a buck" jar?

I am highly partial to baqels and Dunkin Doughnuts as well. We could also bring coffee cake or danishes or blueberry muffins. If there is one thing I've learned about this Club is is this -- while we have traditions; we'll pretty much eat anything anyone puts in front of us!

The folks at Tate were great and really made us feel right at home.

The only beverages available were coffee and I think there was a soda machine somewhere around there but I never found it.

I'm 19. If you were at Tate that day I was the guy with one of my friends and my girlfriend in the Pure silver mini with tint and rims.

Actually it was 4 boxes, you were late we had already polished off a box by the time you got there!

DCMM is funding the breakfast food, Tate is supplying the coffee.

You think next time we could get tate to get part of a parking lot cleared off and put some cones out for some twisties .

um...no.
Free coffee seems to be their committment level at this point. Who knows...maybe after several of these fab brekkies, they might change their tune....
