Early Oil Change

Does anyone know of a place that has some experience doing Mini oil changes in NoVa and has resonable prices? Yesterday, I asked Yolanda at MoS what an early oil change would run me and she qouted $175. This is a bit steep in my book. I know that there are discussions both for and against an early oil change, but, I thought better safe than sorry...however, $175 may sway me more towards the "sorry" side. Thanks.

You could always do it yourself. It's a bit daunting at first, but really no big deal if you're at all mechanically inclined.

Why are you changing the oil early? How many miles?

I took mine over to Mach V in Sterling. Dan owns the shop and he is really easy to deal with. Give them a call and they can quote you a price. Definately cheaper than going to MoS.

There's a place called Alexandria Barvarian (or something like that), just off Rt 1, south of Crystal City. However when I tried to get a quote and make an appointment (via email and calling), I never heard back from them. Their loss. <shrug>

I took my car to Fairfax Service Center across the street from Fairfax BMW. They work oney BMW Merc and Mini and were very good. They are also an authorized Dinan dealer....

Thanks for all of the replies...I may give all three a call and see what I find out. (I will post my findings here.) Btw, I have just under 4,000 miles and I have read all the posts about the wisdom of changing the oil early, so, I thought I would have it done, but, I have never done any work on cars and I don't even want to attempt to do it myself!
