Anyone want a roommate?

Hey all!

I've decided I'm done with crappy tenants, and I'm looking to be someones wonderful roommate. Anyone in the area have a room or place they like to rent out? I'm looking to stay somewhere in the vicinity of Columbia/Howard County, but all things are relative. I'm somewhat open to rent rates as well, so just let me know if you might be interested! Oh, and I'll have my dog Zoe, a 23 lb hypoallergenic labradoodle with me as well.

Thanks!

Justin

I don't have room for a roommate, but I would definitely try craigslist.org if you don't find any MINI people to take you up on your offer. I've found great places to rent from craigslist, and when I lived in NYC found roommates there as well.

One word of warning, I've heard with the major issue of foreclosure lately, some people have taken to trying to rent out their homes. One day the tenants find a foreclosure notice on their door and have next to no time to try to find another place to live and lose their security deposit since the owner is obviously in financial trouble.... be careful!

Good luck, hope some MINI people can help you out first...

Thanks! I'm a big fan of CL, but as I've always thought TWO Mini's in the drive look better than one, I thought this would be about the best way I could manage that for now

I found a room to rent on craigslist as well.
Actually the first 4 places I stopped by were dumps.

Then the 5th place I strolled through was perfect. Now I rent out the 2nd floor of a town house, in Silver spring and the mini and I love it.

Thanks buddy! If I can manage snagging a job down that way, then that would be pretty damn convenient...I'm a little frightened by the idea of rent that way, but sure, I'd rather have options!

And Vision, yeah, I've been looking and hoping, and I have faith in Craig...but if I can help out someone in the crew as well, I figured it was worth the looking. Thanks!

Ah well, if only I had known!

On the bright side though, I scored a place A huuuuuuuuuuuge room in the basement, not quite a full 20 x 20, 20 x 12 at the largest, and a couple of jogs here and there...still, an enormous place.

Sharing with a few others, but the basement is all mine, and I can bring all my "common room" furniture as the other guys don't have it...so all in all, a hell of a win! Especially at the all inclusive rate of $570 a month

I'll be in Catonsville, just off where 40 hits 695, or the 695 and Edmonston Rd interchange. Any fun neighbors in the area?

nah, this place is tucked back a fair amount, away from the *ahem* rough looking streets. Clean, bright, nice people, nice cars all around. If I was right off one of those main strips then I would never have gone for it, but you have to work your way back a bit to get there. Plus, it isn't on the way to anything else, so really no business back there if you don't live there.

I was a little nervous at first making my way to the place...but yeah, I'm happy with it!

AAAAAAAnd after being warned how stupid I was being, and getting a bit scared off by my soon to be landlords blog, I've dropped out of that place

I will NOW be moving to another place in Columbia, near the whole 32/29/95 interchange, and walking distance to An Loi...some of the best Pho I've had EVER

Go me!

Go me!

You are about 5 minutes from my place. And you're right "An Loi" is one of the best, if the not the best Pho' place in town.

We're regular there.

Don't forget to try "House of India" down the street as well.
