You don't nominate for a specific position on the board, you just join the board, and after the annual meeting, we have our first board meeting to discuss who will be filling which position.

If you're OK with that, then I absolutely second your self-nomination.

  • 10% discount @ MotorSwag
  • 5% discount on purchases over $200 @ EuroStyle East
  • Special pricing @ Seven Enterprises
10% off OEM parts? MoS charges over MSRP for parts, not sure about the others. Besides, Classic does 20% off and Morristown 30% on most stuff...plus, no tax (more than offsets shipping costs) or waiting at the counter for 20 minutes while one of the guys finishing eating his lunch or whatever it is they do while standing there getting frustrated.

I'm all for supporting local shops, but this list isn't doing anybody any favors. I (like some others here) won't deal with Behe ever again, carpartscoupons.com is a non-working site....don't see any MINI stuff on ESE and Seven is old school.

at the risk of being called a 'Debbie Downer' (again )...I can do better on my own as can any DCMMer (or non DCMMer) through other avenues (like Nathan at motoringspeed.com for example)

perhaps it's time to update this list and get some fresh faces.. Funktion Tuning, Mach V, Solar Solutions....these guys are local and offer real benefits....parts, installs, etc.

PGT, that is one of the things that I want to have happen with the new board. There was a lot of CRAP that was going on and it is FINALLY over, so the new board can now concentrate on the good stuff. I have some things going on with Solar Solutions, Aesthetic Creations, and perhaps Detailers Paradise.

So, just another idea for DCMM maybe --

Has anyone thought of or considered doing a one of the monthly breakfasts at a more "brunch" time - for us not-so-morning people?

The reason they're done earlier, is because the dealerships can get really busy starting around noon or so, especially in the summer.
It's been a tacit agreement with the dealers that we're out by noon so as not to interfere with their busiest workday of the week..

Try going to bed a wee bit earlier the night before...

lol - Well, let me rephrase that. I like to stay up late, not get up early!

I just graduated from college in May 07 - it's still in my blood. =D
