I think it's time to start looking for a good navigator.

 

im not sure i really understand what this means. i assume there will be poker, and i assume there will be a rally. but what is the 200 hand maximum registration if there is a 10 hand maximum? is 200 the total amount of hands played for everyone attending?

and this sentence has me confused: "$20 per hand, First car off 10am"

which is first, the rally or the poker? maybe im just going about this all wrong. dunno. could someone please help clear things up for me.

on a side note, i do have a good navigator in mind. shes tera-bad with directions...but she has TomTom.

I think they meant:

Total maximum for the whole event is 200 hands.
Maximum per car is 10 hands.
$20 per hand.

Starting time for the 1st car is at 10am.

 

POKER RALLY: Following a rally route, you pick up a new card at each checkpoint. It's a mobile variety of 5 or 7 card stud. The winner is the team which reaches the finish with the best poker hand.

A car can participate in this event with as few as one hand to as many as 20 hands.

Wayne only has so many playing cards, hence the limit of 200 hands.

Please Zero your odometers at the start. There will be a question at the end of the event related to the actual driving distance!

There used to be a Halloween Car rally in Bmore limited to 200 cars

Different Baltimore area Sports Car Clubs used to man each of the checkpoints.

At each checkpoint you would get out your car and walk through the woods. Trying to find the hidden wrapped poker card! The different bmore clubs used to go to much though/expense to have the best (scary) check point.

As a participant you also got to vote on the best check point too!

Even had people in the trees on parachute harnesses and people in wet suits in the streams that would scare the heck out of you! Still have a trophy from my 17 place finish at one of those events in the mid 70's
