[Sat, Feb 16th @ 11am] Run With the Club, Man @ MINI of Towson

Sorry for the painfully bad pun.

Since we'll be at MINI of Towson for breakfast...
Since the Clubman is making its debut...
Since we're still waiting for Glenn, Bev and Ed to give us a date for the Cabin Fever re-run...

Let's go on a NEW run!

Roughly 2-1/2 hours.
More of the same roads, only on different roads.

Thought we could try here for lunch:

http://thestill.net/

Haven't personally sampled their wares, but I noticed there's Shepherd's Pie on the menu.

How 'bout it?

My FAVOURITE place in these parts ! A proper pint of Guinness, the Irish Nachos are REALLY popular. Gaelic Steak is to die for !!! Irish Spring rolls are very good as well.

Cheers !

P.S. According to me mate from Leeds, it's really cottage pie but everyone else calls it Shepherds Pie.

Depending on how large the group, reservations may be in order.

I'd love to join the run, but have to be home by about 3pm for a fundraising event. Company's coming, and I've gotta be a good host, so if there's a way to leave on the run earlier rather than later, I'm in

I won't be able to stay late as well.

Lets say we startthe run after breakfast, ~11.30am, with 2 1/2 hours run, we should finish the run by a little after 2pm.

Perfecto!!!

I think it might be a better idea to begin the run at 11:00.
The run time ends up growing when you add more cars so to make our reservation at the Stil, I would like to depart earlier and not feel rushed.

I believe I will join in on this run, too. Sounds good !

I also vote to begin the run as early as possible. We'll get a quick look at the Clubman, argue on whether it's cool or ugly, and then let's hit the road.

Would anyone be interested in doing a pre-run this Sunday?

I'm about 90% certain that I can get that Saturday off, but the fact that it is a holiday weekend,(President's Day for you non-governmental types), can screw up the best laid plans.

I would have better peace of mind knowing that someone else knew the route and could lead the run if I'm forced to work.

Heck, even if I can attend, if someone else would like to lead, feel free to step up. This would be a good oppurtunity to get your feet wet. The route is already set; you just have to drive it a coupla times to learn it.

Besides, I'd like to try sweeping. I never get to see the caboose's view of the train.

I wooouuuuld.....but...guess the weather for Sunday. Yep, snow showers. I doubt we'd be able to make it.

But don't worry about it if you can't get Saturday off. One of us will step up if you need us to.

Oh, and I agree with you that you should try sweeping. Nothing beats the view from the back of the train.

Hope to see you next Saturday.

Glenn

I'm in! ...for lunch

I RSVP'd. Meet yall at the Still. Unfortunately I'm teaching a few classes that morning and won't make the breakfast or the run. I'll see if the boys want to come to the Clubman event Friday night. How many bulldogs fit in a Clubman?.

Catch up with you after the run. I'll be waiting at the bar with a Guinness!

Please come on Friday as well (and take your boys with you ).

I'm convincing my family for a new dog, and Bulldog it is . I would love them to see how adorable they are.

See you then.

I heard you've mentioned about wine and cheese tasting. It sounds like fun.

I'm wondering if it is the event that shows on Londontowne Symphony Orchestra site?

Kindly advise more in detail. If the event will not end very late, I might be able to join.

First, I have to start looking for a nanny for the day.

Chris-

Yep, this event should be great fun Unfortunately, our web design guy is having technical difficulties, so the flyer doesn't show up there. I'll be glad to send it to you directly (and anyone else who is interested). The document is full of graphics and too large to send on NAM.

In a nutshell, this is a Wine & Cheese Tasting (with pastries ) that will be held on Saturday, February 16, from 5:30 until 7:30 pm at the historic Londontowne Public House & Gardens in Edgewater, MD http://www.historiclondontown.com and will offer chamber music provided by a string quartet and a woodwind quartet to provide gentle background music. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Londontowne Symphony Orchestra (of which I am a member), and is our primary fundraiser for the year.

We'd like to get a head count by Tuesday so we can have enough for everyone, so please let me know soon. Tickets are just $25 per person and will be available at the door. Of course, all are welcome to join. It's not a MINI specific event, but so far there are going to be several of us there. Please PM me for more info. Hope to see you there
