Well after talking to everyone last night Renee and I are going to have a Superbowl party at our home. We live in Germantown,MD. We have a pool table and tv in the basement so all the guys will probably be down there and on the second floor is the 50in. dlp tv with surround sound. It will be a pot luck so everyone post what you will be bringng. We are going to make Puerto Rican style beef and cheese empanadas. The kick off is at 6:15p.m. so i guess it can start around 5:00p.m.
Here's something I just found that concerns me, from Sports Illustrated:
In a rather surprising announcement, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell decided late Sunday night that the upcoming Patriots-Giants game will be seen exclusively on The NFL Network. "Hey, don't get greedy,'' Goodell reportedly said. "Everybody got their way the last time.''
If I'm reading that correctly, that means that only those who subscribe to the NFL Network via their satellite or cable provider will be able to watch the Superbowl...
If that's true, it's a pretty major change from being able to watch it on network TV!

I forsee a lot of very pissed off people.
don't they have a contract with FOX or one of the major network broadcasters? Breach of contract on that scale is a big no-no...

It's my understanding that the NFL did not have that locked down with any network for this year. In fact, they originally planned on doing this for the last regular season Patriots game (where they clinched the unbeaten record), but the outcry caused them to allow the game to be broadcast on multiple major networks.
It will be interesting to see & hear the news development when many people realize they won't be able to watch the Superbowl at home without paying for it...
UPDATE: It seems they updated the article today to add in "(wink, wink)" at the end of the remark from Goodell, so it might have been a joke.

What about the chocolate desert, the one at Katie's was awesome, isn't it also a "bachelor contribution"?

Heh.
You'll have to talk to Kattiya... because I had it REALLY easy last Saturday. She was going to the store to buy stuff for her and Alan to bring, and offered to pick something up for me too. She bought it, and I paid her back.
I saw it on the 11PM news...looks like I missed football history...oh well.
Thanks Carlos and Renee. I had a very good time too. Paul was sorry he missed the sangria...
