Unruly customer at MoT!!!

I sat and watched a younger guy with 70's pony tail get into a huge arguement with some Mini of Towson service managers over a scratched passenger window !!!! He said that the mini had scratched it on the inside of the door but the scratch was not a straight scratch but the scratch was at an angle and I find out that he owns a big dog !!! It was very clear that this scratch was NOT done by the door at all !!!

I hear that this guy has had his hood painted twice by the dealership because he said that the paint was too thin and that is why he had so many stone chips on the front of his hood !!!

He comes into the dealership and takes advantage of their free wash service and has them wash it daily and doesn't even tip the young kids a couple of bucks. He comes in and eats a free bagel or two, grab a free water and then leave without even saying Thank You !!!

Sorry but I stop once a week and tip the kid a five or a ten spot if it was real dirty !! But I don't take advantage of the service !!

The service people at Towson are great to me and bend over backwards when I come in but I can't stand people walking in and acting RUDELY like this guy !!

So you may know this guy (automatic astro black 05 cooper ) and be his friend and I'm sorry if I am ranting but he should NOT take advantage of people !!

I don't think he would want to be my friend.

Perhaps the person is on NAM and can state his case so than we can get another IBTL thread. Haven't had one of those in a while

What a Mullett......A customer of mine was picking up a new truck at the dealership, it's pouring down rain and he will not take delivery until they re- wax it on the spot because the door JAMS were waxed wrong....He later had almost every window replaced because of imperfections that he saw, had both bumpers replaced, etc, etc and then finally traded it in on a different brand because the truck was not perfect.... If you look hard enough you can find fault with anything... PS: The new truck was not perfect either...so he sold it and bought a used piece of crap that he didn't have to worry about.

send him to MoS. They will boot his **** out the door. I heard that my old co-worker pulled that BS there on the BMW side.....screaming at the top of his lungs near the front desk after being banned previously.

*ahem*, Back to the topic at hand...

That sucks. I've *always* gotten top notch service at MoT. From giving me a loaner to play with for a few hours while they did work, to helping me out big-time with tires, to me having my MINI towed in and having me back out the door in less then two hours. I've always given them straight 5's on the phone evaluation, and I actually meant it!

They don't deserve that crap.

Not sure that is meaningful. How do you know the dog has even been in the car? And even if so, how does that prove MOT didn't do it?

Huh? You can actually just drive in and have them run it through the car wash for free? OK, that one is taking advantage of the situation if its abused but if MOT allows that, maybe that is their policy?

He is not blaming MOT, he is blaming the inside of the door for the scratch and HOW can the inside of his door put a scratch that is not STRAIGHT up and down ? The scratch is on the OUTSIDE of the passenger door's glass which yes may have been done by his dog, but is NO way done by the inside of the door !!!

Your right on this ..... The service manager is sick and tired of this guy but after painting his bonnet TWICE now he tries to pull this window crap and I am glad they are saying "NO" to him on this !!!

The policy is a "unwritten " one and is done as a courtesy to buyers from there but this guy has taken advantage of this and I think that they will have to have a talk with him about it. If he "tipped" the guys that washed his car every time he was there then I wouldn't say a thing about it !!

I asked around dog forums and nobody has ever heard of a dog claws scratch auto glass (of course that is just ancedotal data and not definitive.)

I still dont get the auto wash thing.

They do, They've offered to clean Maxi for almost every services and/or routine maintenances.

It's not that they have to, but it's their great customer service.

Sometimes, I have to tell them no need to, if it's going to rain or the roads are still wet.

You actually WANT a dealership to wash your car ?!?!

You should give back your Official Hydro Users Club badge for that. You're not worthy to display it.
