I Got My DCMM Swag Yesterday and...

Tagged my first Two cars this afternoon!

As soon as I got my kit I knew the first car I would tag was the silver MCSc in the Alexandria metro lot, but he wasn't there this morning! The guy had complimented me on my R90 wheels and I wanted to return the favor. Then this afternoon I spotted a cr/b MCS in the lot AND the silver 'vert!

Got 'em both!!

I might need more cards if this continues.....

Hiya Chris,
I'm the person who sends out the packets. I would love to put a dozen cards...two dozen(!)in every membership pack I send. However, those lovely lil cards are pricey. Also, we're getting about 8-12 new members every 2 weeks. I figured 1/2 dozen per pack would get us through the summer...but it's not.

I'm burning through a box of 1,000...quickly.
I'm going to have to order another box soon.

If you want more, send me a SASE (PM me for my address)....I'll send you a few more.

Where do you order the cards through? I've used Vista Print for years, and the prices are usually much better than local office places...I think I even have a credit built up from some work I used to do through them...let me know if I can help!

hey Justin, that's nice of you to offer. We get them from an outfit called GotPrint, out in Burbank CA.
We used to print them ourselves on computers, but that got old fast...

So, is the Kwik-E thing still on for Sunday? And what happens when I show up without my proof of membership?

yup, it's still on. Since it's not an "official" event, anyone can show up, member or not. No worries

Amen to that! With over 400 members...that would be brutal! If you PM or Email me the specs and prices you currently get, I'll see if I can't beat the pricing = )

Actually, MINInurse and I were thinking of making some for ourselves. It would have our NAM names on them. If you have time, please PM me what I need to give you to give me a price quote.

Hey, sorry for the dealy in response! Where I could really come in handy would probably be in large/bulk quantity, I would assume the cards wouldbe ordered on the scale of thousands...

For individual cards though, you have a lot of options! Especially if you can fit all your information on one side...you may be able to load a custom design and get a price break by allowing the vendor to put their info on the back. It is very small and subtle, I'll see if I can't post some examples later.

I'm a little rusty, but I can help with some of the design/layout aspect as well!

Silver convertible S

Chris, the silver convertible S is mine, and we met this morning. Thanks for the card and invite!

I'd love to hook up with the gang here and do some meets and drives, but I'm absolutely swamped in home stuff. Tore the driveway out completely this weekend to replace it with concrete, and the backyard is awaiting the same fate.

If anyone is interested in cramming a car computer into their Mini, I've done that and can help/advise. Mine is functional but awaiting finishing touches on the install, pending a few contiguous hours of "spare" time.

Hope to come to an event and meet some of you sooner or later!
