[Sat. June 23-12pm] Mark's 4th World Infamous DCMM cookout & potluck.
once again, a good cookout thrown by Mark! Thanks Mark! It was good to see everybody and meet all the new peoples. Sorry I couldn't stay longer, but the dog was callin. Hopefully I will see you all soon!
Thanks Mark, it was fun. I made it just in time to the Rush concert... then the Nissan models picked my seat upgrade entry and my friends and I got to watch the concert from right by the stage, sitting in 350Z sport seats! What a trip, and a most excellent day!
Sounds like everyone had a fun time - sorry I missed it - I've been struggling with a mammoth show here at the Convention Center - think 26,000 ugly human bugs (like Cicadas) - actually out-of-shape 50-something introverted librarians - bumping into each other, falling down and going splat, and/or slipping in the bathroom in pee and hitting their heads, having heart attacks - that's what we've got going on here. I can't wait until this show is out of here.
Mark, THANKS so much for the great party!!
I had meant to thank you earlier. The bbq was great...I had so much fun, I'd not even noticed I'd been there for hours! Great food and great company. I can't wait for your next one.
p.s. If anyone wants the recipe for the corn casserole, PM me.

Corn casserole sounds fun.. anything like this?
1 can whole kernel corn (juice, too)
1 can cream style corn
1 c. sour cream
1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. melted butter
1 (8 oz.) box Jiffy corn muffin mix
Mix together adding muffin mix last. Bake in large casserole or 9x13 pan at 350 degrees 50-60 minutes until set. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Corn casserole recipe
VERY close, but even easier (less ingredients)!!
Granny's corn casserole
1 can whole kernel corn (drained)
1 can creamy corn
8 oz. nonfat sour cream
1 stick butter (melted)
1 box Jiffy corn mix
Instructions: Combine all and mix thoroughly. Put in casserole dish/pan uncovered (square, rectangular or round, but not too large) - no coating of oil needed on pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until golden.

A bit belated, but thank you for the great cookout!
We had a great time and really enjoyed just sitting back and relaxing with everyone, and eating lots of great food! Can't wait for the next one!
Also very belated... I've been offline from NAM for over a week!
(life just got hectic that's all)
I had a great time at the BBQ, Mark... even though I missed some of the folks due to an office emergency that had to be dealt with! Thanks for having it - they're always a blast.
