Thanks Katie, but I'm a 'brat snob' and must have only the Johnsonville hot ones!

Everybody remember to rsvp so I have enough to go around!

I'll probably be in good shape. I've got three cookouts in a row so I'm kinda rolling over the inventory... Thanks!

Don't forget to RSVP folks...

So I know how much meat to buy!

There are only 13 RSVP'd so far, and based on history I'd expect double that but don't want to buy food assuming 26 unless the RSVP's give me a indication it'll be a similar sized crowd to usual.

I know this is a bit off topic, but has you or anyone been to Brat Night at the former Del Ray Dreamery aka Dairy Godmother? I thought their brats were heavenly not to mention their frozen custard and sorbets! That might be a cool unofficial gathering for DCMMers....

Having missed seeing all my DCMM peeps this weekend, I am looking forward to spending ALL day at Mark's house!

(I will be a little tired, I do have to work Fri night, but I WILL be there! I just may be sleeping in a deck chair!)

That's be great. Is that like Tomalito (sp?) like the Tex Mex restaurants have?

In the 'Krut needs a hose' thread it was asked if someone could wash their MINI here. Yup. You can wash, got a 'real' compressor if you want to check yer tires, and once or twice folks have thought about doing installs here during a cookout while a garage and tools are available though that hasn't happened yet...

Can't Make It :-(

Sorry - I won't be able to make this one.

I move from Laurel, MD to Inwood, WV this weekend. To top things off, my cousin is driving all the way down from Michigan to do a little construction in my new place. (He's such a nice guy!) I'll be all sorts of exhausted and wishing I was eating brats and dogs, but at least the move will finally be overwith.

Wish me well and I'll keep you cookout in my (jealous) thoughts.

Nope, won't happen. I'm just hoping that the final wiring harness parts arrive from Germany this week! If I'm lucky, the car will be done late next week...

Maybe I should not ask this question but I am told that for the past month and 1/2 you 'r w/o MINI a couple loaners from MoS what's happening w/ you car? I thought that when you ordered you checked off all options available...

Marina... I actually dropped off my MINI on April 2, and I've had a total of 5 MINI loaners until last week when I voluntarily gave it up (to help take pressure off the service department from the sales department) and I'm driving my Mustang now.

The vast majority of the delays were caused by the parts department not knowing how to proceed. The dealership was about to throw in the towel and back out of the project when I did a little research of my own early last week and proposed a workable solution to them. There's still no guarantee that it will work, but I've committed to paying for the work to try, because I have faith that it will work out. The worst case scenario is that I'll end up paying a fortune to keep the H/K, but at least the car is soundproofed now!

Yes, I did pretty much check every option available (except the chrome packages) when I bought my MINI, and that is effectively the cause of the problem. The Digital POWER Sound Modul (DPSM) stereo retrofit is officially not compatible with the Harman/Kardon (H/K) factory option. You are supposed to start from the Boost stereo.

It's all detailed in my thread, if you care to read it.

We have some mods that need installed, but don't have the right tools. I have a pulley and springs, anyone want to assist me and MININurse in the possible install?
