I need you to call TireRack & order a set of rims

All:

Tirerack.com won't have rims available until they have had a Countryman in their shop to measure its rims. Probably in the spring. However, if enough people call & request rims, they'll get with the program, find some rims & start selling them.

The 17's are 17x7 with a 50mm offset. Hub is 5x120.

If you will need rims for your Countryman, please call the Tirerack at 1-888-541-1777. The more calls they get, the sooner the rims will be available!

Call them now!

Thanks,

Paul.

Hey Paul,

A really sweet set of 18s are going to be offered by NM Engineering.

I have not seen a price, yet!

Don

I will call the rack on Monday and get on the potentials list.

If you know what the Countryman takes 5x120 high off set just look up a BMW 1 or 3 Series and order rims based on that information and you will be fine... Just use the correct tire size for a Countryman in the respective tire size..

Other choice take your Countryman to Tire Rack !!

The bolt pattern on the BMW is NOT the same as the Countryman, btw.

Beg to differ... both are a 5 x 120 bolt pattern.

Correct, but I am reliably informed that BMW rims will NOT fit a Countryman.

I really wish they would- that way I'd have a set already!

I am wrong, NMs Countryman wheel is going to be a 19 available in the Spring, no pricing yet.

Hub size

What is the "Axle hub size"? I am assuming that is the issue as to why the said BMW wheel will not fit. Maybe a 1 series is a smaller diameter? 5x120 is bolt pattern, not hub size.

Sounds like a BMW rim will fit. Les Schwab (big tire dealership in OR.) has aftermarket BMW rims in stock, so I will test fit one.

I'll let you know.

P.S. I think the axle hub size is the 5x120. There is something else (not the offset) that is 72mm.

The hub is the round part in the middle and it could but the 72mm in diameter, seems a hair big though (almost 3 inches). The 5x120 is a bolt pattern size.

Wheel fitment

Here is some information that I found.
A 1-series(and probably many other BMW's) are
Bolt Pattern 5x120 / Hub Center 72.5 (s11)

If the Countryman has the 72.5 Hub Center, then I would say we are good to go. If they are any larger, the above post says not, then they will not fit without custom spacers or boring out the wheel.
If the Countryman is smaller, then they will also fit no problems, but if you don't get hub centric rings to fill in the open space from having a smaller Hub, you will risk having alot of issues because you will be relying solely on the lugs to center the wheel.

Will post results.
