Wow, I could comb my hair....

Last week, my boyfriend (in a move that easily gets him nominated for the best boyfriend EVER award), picked up my Mini from work, took it to his house, and then washed it, polished it, shine sprayed it, and Zaino-ed it (not necessarily in that order!). My Winnie looks so good!

Last night, as I was leaving the Pullman Square parking garage, the guy taking my money stopped me to tell me how much he loved my car....and then he complimented me both on the unusual color and on the unusual bonnet stripes (not that he called them bonnet stripes....and I said he'd never seen a Mini with stripes before, which I have a hard time believing, but who am I to complain about a guy who loved my car?!?!). He asked about gas mileage too and was quite impressed. Just as I was about to leave, he told me that my car was so shiny that he could comb his hair in the side....he then proceded to check his hair in my door.

Here's how good she looks!

Thanks! I feel very lucky (especially after he did that!) He took the pics too to make sure that there were pics of my Mini so shiny, in case she got dirty while he was bringing her back to me at work.

That was very sweet . He sounds like a great guy . I washed and waxed MINI over the weekend only to pull her out and drive to work in the rain .BLAH Guess they can not stay clean with this crazy weather we are having right now .

That's so sad...but I guess it's just part of the crazy spring weather. There should be great big umbrellas to keep our Minis out of the rain after they've been washed.

LOL..........that is a great idea . Wonder who we can get to market such a thing ? Love the blue on your car , what is the name of it ? We are thinking of getting my wife a MINI also . Blue is her favorite color . I don't recall seeing any that color when we went to pick up my car in February .

Thanks! It's Oxygen Blue. It only comes on a Cooper (maybe even only on a hardtop Cooper). Dealerships never seem to have too many of them (if any) on the lot....and the color doesn't look quite right on the configuator. But you can order it (that's what I did!)

That explains it . I looked at the configuator , it looks a different color that those great pictures of your car . If they had offered it for the MCS , I would have thought about it for me . I like blue also . Only had one red car in my life (911 SC ) , so the red was a nice change for me. I will have to show my wife your car when I get home . We ordered my car and it took six weeks to get . We are not concerned about waiting , that way you get what you want on the car . Thanks for all your help .

I'd say that's as much reflection as you can get out of a light color like O2 Blue.

Well done !!

Looks great

I may have to give up on a clean car though... Life without a paved road is killing me... Dishpan hands every other day. Guess it it time to leave it sit and commit back to the Baja until summer settles in.

Sadly, after today, she's not so clean anymore....still shiny, though. It rained this morning - the rain beaded well, thanks to the Zaino, but the yellow pollen dust that seems to be everywhere gathered in the raindrop beads and then dried. Now I have Oxygen Blue with black bonnet stripes and yellow pollen polka dots on my roof and my bonnet stripes.

BTW, this is Mini Esq - I stupidly got onto the forum without checking to see that my boyfriend was logged in.

Thanks, everyone!

I guess the weather just can't understand that we want our Minis to stay clean! Stupid weather (and I'm including today's cold with that....it doesn't have much to do with keeping my Mini clean but I still don't like it! Where did spring go? It was here and then it left!)

Please, when you see the warm weather... Send some up. We got an inch of snow this morning I've got a golf course that needs mowing and a mini that needs some TLC...

I know....I'm convinced I psyched out the weather gods with my first MINI and we wound up in a drought!!! I'm much less intense w/ this one........right.

Nice lookin' OB, MiniEsq!!!
