Forge BoV from WMW

Installed the Forge BoV from WMW last Thursday. Quick write up is here.

So far, things feel peppier and more responsive. I need to put a little more time behind it, but I like the results so far.

Installed:

And old vs. new:

In all honesty.. you will not notice any real notable performance results from this.

Thats cool you like it, I am sure it makes a different sound than the stocker does as well.

You are also measuring on a butt dyno.. we all like to think we are faster when we mod our cars..

Installed mine yesterday as well. It seems peppier to me! I'm enjoying it! Driving like I normally did I chirpped second gear which I have not done before. Getting on it on the highway to merge seems like a lot less lag and just goes! Not as loud as I hoping/thinking! But I'm enjoying it so far!

Seconded on the loudness. It seems quieter than stock. I was not expecting that!

I do seem to build boost a bit faster at times, but not really sure if it's doing much more for me.

With the VIP intake, I agree that it got a bit quieter.

Yep, and we have the same setup. At least I know I'm not crazy.

I will say that what I hear is a lot crisper, if that makes any sense... it's like it lets it off immediately instead of slowly bleeding it off.

until someone can produce logs showing that one really works better than the other... I am going to say they are about the same.

BOVs are not known to give any real gains.

Dont get me wrong, I love forge and their products and the forge dv on my MK5 GTi, but I in no way made more power than those running the oem dv..

I'd agree with that. Have not felt a difference, just a difference in sound and speed of boost pressure so far.
