k&n Apollo intake Help!
I just installed a k&n Apollo 57a 6033 my 2011 justa. The car will start but does not idle properly with MAF sensor plugged in but idles fine with the sensor unplugged. Does anyone have info on resetting the ECU to recognize the new intake so that the MAF indicator light turns off? Any help/suggestions is greatly appreciated...

I would double check everything again. The ECU should be fine ( I do not believe there is a way to reset a gen 2 ecu)
Here is a link to some pictures of my install -- https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...man-cai-2.html (go to post 46).
It is probably something simple -- sorry can't be more helpful.

I initially became interested in a aftermarket air intake because of the presumable better overall throttle response. There is the issue of getting the car to move quickly off the line and general shifting anyway but after all it's only a 1.6L motor. I do have the stock air box of course and it was very easy to remove. I am not quite ready to re-install it though. I like the idea of a cai/ram intake, I've used them on other cars in the past. So to be a bit more specific, after I installed the k&n apollo, I plugged in the MAF sensor, checked all the clamps, I reconnected the negative battery cable and started the car and it would slightly idle and stop. So I unplugged the MAF sensor tried starting the car that way and it idled just fine. I took it for a test drive around town for 45 minutes... no problems... after all is said and done I'm prepared to go back to stock on this one however, unwillingly.

Just in case people are interested... I did correct the issue/problem I had with my K&N Apollo 57a 6033 air intake... I actually like the sound of the intake and I think it's a good intake as well.
Thanks again for the response and suggestions!!!

Well.... when I connected the k&n filter to that rather short MAF housing which is a very short tube which has the female sensor connector mounted on it and "yes" there is a little hard to see arrow that indicates which direction that little tube should be placed when connecting the air filter and that's the part of the install process I missed! So... I reconnected it placing it in the right intake direction. Voila! no indicator light, no problems!
