Lowering springs - suggestions anyone?
I'm closer to getting my little MC lowered... I found a set of Eibach's through TireRack at a good price and they will lower it 1.2". I'm wondering if anyone has any other suggestions, i.e. other brands and with 34,000 miles, should I replace shocks, too?
I'm also thinking that since it's my daily driver, I don't want to drop it any lower. Any thoughts?

I suggest checking out the NM engineering springs. They won't lower it as much as those eibach's but the ride will be alot better and you'll have better shock travel to make the shocks last longer.
The only other set of springs I would recommend are our TSW springs. They only lower the car 3/4 of an inch, and are linear rate.

Actually, WMW, those NM's lower the same as the Eibach's - 1.2". Would they still ride better than the Eibach's or is a 1.2" drop gonna ride the same regardless of the brand of spring?
How would you compare the TSW springs to the NM springs? I was set on eventually getting some NM springs, but I am reconsidering TSW springs due to the lesser drop ... I've already had a small amount of scraping on my front Aero bumper and don't want to increase the chances.
Thought I'd update this since I went with the H&R's - 1.4" drop. It's not slammed by any means, but since it's my daily driver I'm happy with the result. These springs in addition to the ALTA rear sway bar have really changed the handling.

No issues with camber that I can tell - sits no different than most stock set-ups when I put them side by side.
I am still running my stock shocks and have no issues. I will be going to Bilstiens once these shocks are spent, which may be soon. I'm starting to feel a little more *bounce* when I'm shifting and at 46,000 miles I'm guessing the stock shocks are nearing the end of their life anyway.

Thanks for posting the picture, I like that ride height quite a bit. Looks low but not crazy slammed. I was thinking TSW or H&R, but a few people seem to have a weird uneven ride height with the TSW, and I like the slightly lower drop of the H&R.. I think it's my next mod after exhaust.
I have the NM springs on my MINI and I absolutely love them! Very little compromise in comfort and the drop doesn't look slammed at all (after settling the drop is about 1.1-1.25in all the way around). The NM springs with the H-Sport hollow 25.5mm rear sway set to the medium setting totally transformed the car. I feel like I can out handle just about anything!!
Wow, this was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I was in the market for springs and found some but didn't think it would drop as much as I would like. You answered my question wonderfully. The H&R's are $30 more expensive, but that look is beautiful. Thank you.
