Megan Racing cat-back for Cooper

In contacting Megan Racing about the cat back exhaust they made for the Gen 1, they told me there wasn't enough interest in producing one for the Gen 2... I know I would be interested.

Would you? Maybe if this post gets long enough, they'll change their mind

I would def buy a megan exhaust. All though i was under the assumtion that the 1st gen fit the second gen as well.

me too about the gen 1, but not really much debate out there about them, plus if you look on youtube alot of people make there own exhaust for the r56, i was going to do that but i would like something factory made tho, there is the option of the vip custom exhaust that ther got on there website, but thats 550$ just for the base slip on one, so idk if i want to spend that much on an exhaust for a non turbo/supercharged car

OK. So there's only 3 of us interested...

We'll never convince them at this rate.

i'd get one if it had a decent tone and the price was right. i've been looking for one since day 1 and don't like any of the choices we have.

I bumped into a guy over a year ago that had one on his Gen 1. It was before I developed this addiction to modding so I didn't realize that he even had it 'til I saw it in his sig. I'll see if I can find him. I'm also curious about what it would take to modify the Gen 1 version to fit ours.

Might see that Gen 1 owner in a month or so... He's doubtful that the Gen 1 version can be retrofitted - I just want to see it. And hear it.

So that's 5 or 6 of us... I wish I could find a diagram with measurements comparing the Gen 1 vs. Gen 2. I hear that the flanges are different, but other than that I suspect ours is a bit longer. I wish I had a go-to muffler dude, but I just don't.

We'll keep this thread alive, but I may be moving on to a cold air intake shortly - then I've got to squirrel away money again if I want to do this. At least the CAI will give me some burble.
