Not normally a huge fan of the blacked out look, but yours looks nice. Gotta love the JCW grille... Best single exterior mod one could do on a non-S Cooper. I just swapped mine back to stock in preparation for trade-in, and had forgotten just how fugly the stock grille was.

Nice job!
thanx, ...& yes..that stock grill was wimpy looking, the JCW grille very inexpensive easy to do mod...should/would have done sooner if I'd known it was gonna be that easy to install...& look that good.

..didn't even know that NFR is no longer available..not even in a clubby , ...my wife picked it, I'm glad she got with black roof...as a neighbor moved in just 6 houses down from us about yr ago & has an 08 NFR!...but with white. (ours looks better w/black)

..next mod is to install the S spoiler, ...I bought a while back from another NAM member...& got a very good deal on it...because it was BRG...painting it black ..& getting it to look right has turned out to be a bit more than I'd thawt.
..keep us posted when you get your new 1...

Not sure what is coming next in the mods department, I am thinking coilovers and maybe some minor engine stuff

...very nice cooper, ...a while back I bought some of those s-lites, for a good deal because they have some curb rash, ...which I'm just finally now getting them smoothed out & prepped to paint (probably black) and get some new shoes for em', ....,just to have another set to change out and run sometimes for a change of look...

...just this past wknd...finally got aroung to finish painting, wet sanding, compounding and installing the S roof spoiler I bought from someone here on NAM. (it was BRG!) & a lot of prep to get it right..but was a good deal.

...my next mods, in addition to gettin those s-lites painted, thinking about a possible lowering...nothing too drastic...some springs maybe 1inch lower.

...& then sway bar and NM Torque arm insert like you have...

...why no pics in ur gallery? still raining in N. Cali? ...raining here in S. Texas.
here is those s-lites...with the curb rash repair & prep work in progress:
...will be nice to have a 17inch set up in addition to the 16's that have on:

The roof spoiler is a great mod for the MC. Along with the JCW grille, I think they're the most noticeable mods.

...yep, completely agree.

...and of course wheels also, ..which btw those you have are very sharp looking...especially with a pepper white

...stripes (or none) seem to really change up look too, ...just got my sport stripes in yesterday...will get to them here..hopefully in near future...need to read up on installing procedures..as to get it right...so far I haven't seen any NFR's with sport or viper type of stripes...

Thanks. The wheels were one of the first things on so I kinda take them for granted now.

I give you credit for installing stripes yourself - I don't trust myself enough.

...well, no credit yet...we'll see how it goes.

...just like with other little mods to our MC, I'm gonna go over some diy info (NAM very helpful for this) ...then take my time & enjoy the process.

...find a time when my wife is not around...so she doesn't voice up her concerns..& get me stressed

hopefully have done and some pics up in a couple wks...

Yeah, tons of rain. Amongst other things were work and school that have kept me busy these past few months. I was hoping while on break for the next month to get some nice pics and get them up but so far with the rain it hasn't happened yet

The sway bar has been my favorite mod so far. Really made the car handle like a go cart and make every corner a thrill. I want to do the s-spoiler soon too but I got to save up some more funds for that endeavor.

...the spoiler you can sometimes find someone selling here on NAM,

..I got mine from a member here for 50bucks ...but...it was (BRG) so by the time I got the paint and materials to do it right...ended up about $100..still not too bad.

..I recommend though finding one already black...it was time consuming..

...Outmotoring has a cool one...a bit different, I would have gotten for sure...but in the same situation with fund$ allotments.

...if anyone here has that spoiler...I'd love to see a pic posted up...I've checked but so far can't find a pic of any that have it..

No pics. but got Molly a Garmin Nuvi 1390LMT and a Portable Friction Mount, love this thing!! Unit is small enough where it is not in the way of seeing the road, the Friction Mount is way cool too, molds to the Dash, and sticks like glue!!

Scottsquake58....I have a question please. S lites on a base......did these come from an earlier model Mini Cooper? I know of the bolt diameter difference from gen1 to gen 2 (12mm versus 14mm) and there shouldn't be problem here, but, what about the TPMS. If these are earlier model wheels, being that the TPMS on gen 2 is different than Gen 1 do the gen 2 TPMS sensors fit on gen 1 wheels? It's a modular sensor in the gen 2 (valve stems) as opposed to (I think) an ABS based system in gen 1's. I thought I heard that an area would have to be ground out of the inside of the wheel to accomodate gen 2 TPMS in a gen 1 wheel. Thanks for your help in this.

mini coop - I think Scottquake has an 09, so from what I've read here on NAM...he'd either have to have put the sensors in the wheels...or just run with the TPMS light always on.

..haven't seen Scottquake post recently..maybe he'll check back & let us know.

..I recently put some S lites on my 07 justa, ..they fit fine (from an 05')...I figured I'd have the light stay on...no biggee, but I saw some info on here that the 07's that were built earlier had the prior system...which mine must have...cause I just reset at the steering control...and no sensor light coming on.

..hope this helps a bit..
