what is this bad smell when i start the car up first thing in the morning?

 

your socks?

 

Too much red meat?

 

Too many vegtables?

 

Bad catalytic convertor maybe? Smell like sulfer? Or rotten eggs?

 

Might think about doing this, http://www.uview.com/mist/problem.html my local service partner starting doing them and is getting really good feed back about it. I'll have my MINI done next week and provide a full detail report.

Is it coming from the vents? If so it's probably from the A/C being on before you turned it off. Overnight water is trapped in your air vents and grows bacteria and makes a nasty smell when you turn your car on in the morning. But replacing the cabin filter will help for sure if you haven't ever!
