>>I noticed a couple of comments about the Helix being too loud. I'm looking for something that will give me a little more power without being too loud either inside or outside the car. My car is still a daddy-mobile as I have a 10 year old who rides in the back alot.

Wassup, randyarms! Yeah, this is a great thread

Hi, hondacivic! Just to clarify -- were you asking someone in particular about the Helix or in general? TGIF

Sorry, I sold my Helix already, just forgot to update my mods posts....I'll take care of that in a few minutes.

Mine was definitely too loud for me. I've written about exhausts many times - like this thread - so I won't go on about it here. By the way, the thing I forgot to mention in that post was the very loud resonance boom in the cabin in the 3.5-4K range. I was planning a significant sound system boost to try to cover it up but decided it was so obvious that my ears would end up bleeding by the time I'd drowned it out. Some people complain about the same thing while others say they've never experienced it....maybe I got a "bad" Helix?

I have been deliberating mods and a number of you helped by making some suggestions to a prior post.... Here is what is on order, in route, and/or awaiting install etc... as well as future thoughts...

Upgrades....
RSpeed Exhaust
BMP/Promini Intake
replaced original 15" with 16" - went to Goodyear Eagle NCT5 (non runflat construction in the original sixe - European tire)

Interior....
Glove box organizer
Center console thingy
Billet pedals

Exterior....
Sunroof UJ vinyl cling
Added bonnet stripes

Future...
Mini Mudflaps
Sunroof perforated decal - UJ
Short shifter (do not who yet)
Green stuff brake pads - goodbye brake dust
& who knows what else

Longer term... sell MC and buy new Mini when the new turbo'ed Peugeot (sp?) engine with stock 250+ HP comes out in a couple of years!!!!

With the frigid weather in the Northeast, and 24K miles on the Rogue exhaust, I am beginning to rethink things here. After driving an MCS with a Borla Street, I was surprised at how "droneless" the car was. I may be thinking about a smoother alternative here...perhaps I am just getting old.

Not to Hi-jack this thread.....I just got back from a 1200 mile road trip with the V.36 update. My gas Mileage averaged just under 30MPG with about an 80MPH average....To say the least I was a little dissapointed. I was expecting low to mid 30's. Car feels strong though. Maybe this is the tradeoff?

I will our (me and sugar's) current mods

Engine: Stock
Suspension: Stock
Cosmetic: Aero Kit Color Matched with two tone paint around edges, Custom Grill on Aero Kit bumper, Euro Plate, 4 Rally Lights, Custom Headliner and Head Rests, Billet Pedals.

Our next mods will be performance wise

I need to hear some responses about intakes. Do we stay cheap and just get the drop in filter? or do we save a little bit more up and get a full intake system?

thoughts, videos of intakes dyno's anything you got wanted.

All the new mods

Its been awhile since I posted but alot has changed...

Engine:
Big Valve Head (ported and polished)
Shrick Cam
Throttle body
london stainless manifold
K&N hot air intake
MSD coil and wires
red chrome bling
Helix cat-back

Body
S side skirts
4 pack rally lights (brit style)
white side repeaters
stripes
Union Jack
Tinted Fender Markers and tinted tail lights
Pilo Front Rotors & EBC pads
H-Sport springs, rear control arms, and sway bar

I don't think I've forgotten anything. I need to dyno the bootch but I'm afraid I'd be disappointed with all the mods. Its more fun to let the *** dyno vouch for it.

I know my mods are pretty lame compared to you guys, thanks for all the new ideas though! My thing is to add a lil hp next and also beef up my hardon/karman system:

S-Lites
Suspension + (factory)
MCS Side skirts
Limo Tint around back (can't tint side fronts in CA)
Limo tint strip on windshield (I really like this look)
Union Jack valve stem caps

Thanks for reviving this one...

So far...

K&N Typhoon Intake
Magnecore 8.5mm plug wires
Borla Exhaust
Powerslot Rotors
EBC GreenStuff Pads
Yokohama AVS
35% tint

A question for you that have done the camshaft or head work...did you notice a substantial gain? Any driveability issues? I dyno now at 107 and am looking to get that a bit higher.

On deck...
Eibach springs

My front pads are about 25% andy my rotors are deeply worn. Power slots and EBC greens are on the way. They should keep me going until I can save up enough for a b3 kit:smile:

Trying to decide between H-sport comp, sport bar, or Alta for my next mod.
