Maybe called subframe , don't know for sure, it was called a clip on my friends 56 chevy truck .

Subframe/ clip (whatever) is that the stock one in the picture, I've never taken the front of my mini off quite that far, so I'm not exactly sure what the frame looks like. Is yours a "kit" or modified stock "subframe"?

Front clip is kind of a generic term usually refering to anything forward of the cabin that bolts in and holds the engine/suspension etc in place.
