Drove it yesterday.....

FUN.

Need to do the body work now and I hope the allignment will calm down the torque steer, but other than that she runs fine.

First run out brakes locked up.
Towed back to the shop, looks to be a simple fix, but they fear test driving my RHD monster so I will drive it for them at 9AM tomorrow.
No Dragon for me folks, just not enough time to fix it (including 3 weeks of paint and body work) and have enough local driving to be confident that it will not fail up there.

It's at the body shop now.
Drove fine today, it was a relatively simple fix.

Ok, well I stalled it at a left turn, and to catch up I drove it hard. Dropping into second and giving her some gas in that left turn jerked the car right HARD. I mean she really IS a beast now. If you do not have a FIRM grip on the wheel she can toss you into a curb, car, ditch, whatever.

She is in my driveway.
Nothing is ever perfect, though everything with the body work was fine, I have a small floor hole that will be easily fixed.
I am also finding that the dash does not seem to fit as it ought to. I may have to get creative and toss speakers in the holes for the vents as the fit is just not right.
In any case her emblem and stripes are not on so she is a little undressed. As well I need to order a 4 light bar for her to be looking the way I am used to.
Had I a decent camera I'd have some pics up.

Who cares about the quality of the camera - just get something up please.

How does she drive? Enjoy?

More issues on the POS fiberglass front end.

THAT is one thing I would never buy from Minitec again. In contrast to all the other stuff they sold me, that front end is a piece of $%^&!

How did they fill in those huge, gaping holes in the trailing edge of the bonnet? Just a boatload of Bondo, layered upon layered or did they actually have to lay down fresh fiberglass? I assume the later - what a PITA.

More importantly, how does it drive?

MOST importantly... let me know when you move on to other projects and need an adoptive home for the Beast!

Fiberglass baby. And a good amount of it.

She drives great now that the alignment is done.

No gauges still...

Will be in on Monday to complete the project.

Dash going in on Monday, and the stripes on Wednesday.

She will be done for the most part then.

She is home, V-Tec is now engaging(it was not previously) I have the dash in, the bonnet sorted, and generally everything as per this project is done.
Issues still to be resolved:
Ride height adjustment or suspension adjustment needed to stop left rear wheel from rubbing if I have a back seat passenger.
Need replacement stereo speaker.
Need to fix the headliner.
Need to figure out exactly how to handle the glove box areas as the inside of them are not done.
Have to order the correct speedo if it ever is in stock at Jeggs.
