Wow - what a do-over! Looking at the dash board ("Do Not Bend"), reminded me that it took me 5 tries to get one to fit properly between the parcel shelf and the top padding. And once I got the fit right, bored the holes for the gauges, fitted it all up and installed it, I found the the rev counter is in the wrong place. I centered it over the stering column mount instead of centering it on the steering wheel itself. And the fresh air vents don't line up with the ports in the firewall. One more time...

If you get bummed about any Minitech delays, remember you always have me to think of...your at LEAST four weeks ahead of my sorry posterior.

Yep, lookin' good!

ROFLMAO

Yeah, and the costs are more than originally estimated, but so are the things we are having to figure out how to rework.

Down here in Tampa, FL with parts from www.superfastminis.com

They have not completed the job, but it's all going quick enough since I see everything they are doing they are getting done right. No secrets in pricing, they have communicated to me consistantly as we have been moving forward, though mine is their first so things will likely be faster in future cars as they will have the experience of mine to draw from. For instance they are experimenting in which ways to do the pedals and cylinders for the brakes and clutch, this takes reworking them if they do not feel right to me (for instance first time through the clutch was too hard) including ordering different parts.

I do recommend the kit from Minitec, it is not cheap, but the thing is as assembled as it can possibly be when it arrives, and they ship FAST once they have the package together. Minitec CAN get to some delays in assembly prior to shipping, and while this has frustrated me, I have been pleased with the products once they have arrived here. I was not terribly pleased with the fit of their fiberglass front and would be tempted to go to www.frankenminis.com and see if I could not get a better fitting front there.

Reply from Kyle at Ellis:

Tell your friend we would be more than happy to do another honda swap. however if he wants all new wiring, it won`t be the same price as yours.

More expensive on the wiring, though if you have a harness that is not totally buggered like mine was you won't need to do that.

If you want a better look this is the forum for the shop doing it. http://www.tamparacing.com/forums/el...ini-build.html

They seemed interested in doing another one by the way.

Xanthus,
Your car looks fantastic! I think you're going to be very happy with it. It looks like your builder is doing a great job.
