1964 Monte Carlo Winner ?'s
1964 Monte Carlo Winner ?'s
I have an 2004 MINI COOPER S MC40. (Monte Carlo Edition) Look at my gallery! I was wondering if anyone knows the year of the mini cooper s that won the 1964 Monte Carlo winner. I am looking to soon purchase a classic mini to create a 1964 Monte Carlo winner look-a-like. I am wondering if this car was RHD or LHD.
Does anyone have any direction for me?

Here's some shots of the actual car that won the 67 monte.

They were all right hand drive. But if you are trying to make a replica that is of any authenticity, that would be the least of your worries.
As you can see here from this picture taken at a Mini Cooper Register meet in England, there are alot of works replica cars out there. Very cool indeed.

That is not the 64 Monte winner. The reg of the 64 Monte winner is 33EJB, which is a 1963 1071cc Factory Works Morris Cooper S.

That car pictured, if the real one (which it probably isnt) would be the 1967 Monte winner.
Edited: After some reasearch, I found out that the pictured car is the 67 Monte winner, the owner at the time rolled it, like a moron.
Edited: Disregard the above edit, it may not be the 67 winner. But it IS a works car.

After doing some (more) research, I think that is not the 1967 Monte winner. The '67 Monte winner should be LBL6D, that one is LBL66D (A totally different works car).
I think the 67 winner might still be in the gaydon museum in England.
