My new classic Countryman

1967 MINI Countryman RWD Conversion
140hp 2.3l Ford I-4
Racing Seats, cage etc.

If you were at MME 2003 the car was there.

Put a deposit down, pick it up once I sell my '02 JCW.

That is cool! You better have a supply of tires (tyres) handy because that puppy will eat them like candy! I want that Clubman in the background!

The car has a rear from a Chevy S10. Did some more research. Seems Eaton makes a wide range of LSD options for this that are pretty affordable new. The beauty of all of this is swapping the LSD on a RWD is an easy job.

Just got the new MiniWorld in the mail last night - they have an article on a van with a Lotus Elise motor ... and it has big fat tyres too ...

... nice thing about the Ford: it is cheaper and has decades of GoFaster parts to play with ...

yeah the 2300cc ford engine has a ton of aftermarket pieces available for it. It was even available in a turbo charged version in the Thunderbird. The selling point on this beast or Frankenmini as I'm calling it was the fact that the engine, rear end etc were all from known easy to get manufacturers.

Paul, here's a kick in the head...I think the red-orange Mini two cars to the left of your wagon may be my old Mini! (I think I recognize the little stickers in the left rear window) If you remember, it would have had a front spoiler, black arches, tinted windows, and a scream'n 1380cc motor
I'm now working on a 79 Mini Estate restoration with a metal flip front. I'm keep'n the motor original for now anyway....
