Zeemax kit

Hello folks,

I looked up a search for Zeemax and found either a bunch of old threads/posts about the kit, or kits for the newer style MINIs.
Has anyone had any recent experiences with purchasing a Classic Mini kit from them?
Or if you do have one, how is the quality of it all holding up? And how long have you had it?
I looked at the ones that MiniMania has. Most of them aren't really my style. Don't know if they offer Zeemax kits, or if one could be ordered through them.
Heard of knock-off kits for the newer MINIs. Anyone heard of ones for the classics, and if so, are they good quality?
Just trying to see if it's worth the risk in ordering one. Lots of money on the line, especially with the conversion. Zeemax doesn't really have much of an up-to-date website or any social media. Looks pretty bare bones. They don't take credit card or PayPal. Only cash or bank transfer. Almost suspicious, if it's a real deal anymore.
Thanks in advance for any tips.
Cheers,

Well, I guess I'll reply to myself then. Ha.

And in case anyone else was thinking the same thing, I may have found an answer.

I was directed to a company called ABS Motorsport in the UK that makes basically the same kit as Zeemax. Even the bulge-style hood. But no spoiler like Zeemax. It's cheaper and sounds less risky dealing with ABS than Zeemax. ABS's email response has been great. They accept PayPal payments. And they have lots more classic Mini goodies available to choose from. So, thus far, it's looking like a great substitute for Zeemax. Looking Zeemax is trying to hang it up for good. They're selling their molds on UK's eBay for 5000 GBP.

On a side note, just wondering if anyone has ever tried to dry fit a newer MINI Cooper'S' roof spoiler to a classic Mini? Wondering how close it would be to fitting. If it's not too far off and just needs some trimming or filing down, I'd be willing to try it. Does anyone have access to one to give it a shot.

I like the Zeemax spoiler the best for the classic Mini. There's not a lot available in the way of spoilers out there that I've seen that are similar to it. Not too crazy about the boxy-sided ones, or racer-style, or anything that's too big, high, and clunky-looking. The duckbill style would be the next closest to consider for my taste.

Cheers,
