Best V-tec kit

I'm ready to put a V-tec in my mini, which kit is the easiest to use?
Thanks

I would recommend contacting Minitec at www.superfastminis.com

I am currently pricing up doing this, and all the installers I have spoke with have been happy to know that their kits were available. I myself am not qualified to say how good they are, but the people I spoke with all seemes confident in that package, and every driver of one of the cars they did, or were done with their package, were quite satisfied.

Hijack - Sorry,

Anyone know if there are kits that dont add any lenght to the front? If I remember correctly the superfast kits add about 4 inches. When the engine goes in our classic, I too, will be looking at converting. (hope I have some time left)

thought there was a kit in CA that adapted the non-VTEC Honda in the std Mini front?

Not extending will cost twice as much in money and headaches.
IMHO it may look good, but will probably handle like a pig.
on the extended front, it's only visible to the critical eye.

YEah, there are kits with no additional length needed, but I do not know any of the details.

This really is a great kit from SuperFastMinis.com.

My only concern with this is that it's a used engine.

Does anyone know an easy way to purchase a NEW Honda engine for such a project.

I'm just always wary of why somebody would be selling a low-mileage use engine, unless the car had been in a crash.

I'll add my two bits...currently Minitech is building a car for me with the K series drive train (K20A); their first K and my first Mini. The one pictured above is the B-16 package, methinks. Norman and BJ are the contacts there and have provided me with excellent service thus far. As of yesterday they finished the new K subframe and mounted it to a test car so I will find out their response to the new set up soon. They will be doing tests and tweaks over the next couple of weeks. I suppose once the car is delivered I'll have more insight on the subject.

I'll try to attach a photo of my vehicle in progess at Minitech...

Well new is way expensive, though I have thought to look as well. I assume you ought to talk to a Honda dealer, or find a number for one of their corporate offices.
