New to the Mini scene, any good parts websites?

I am thinking about getting a 1961 Mini. Any one have any good websites for panels, electrical, etc? I want to find some before I would buy it. This is the best website I have found so far: http://www.7ent.com/
Thanks!

7ent or MiniMania is your best bet for parts

those are the two I use the most

also Moss at mossmotors.com

on my most recent order I compared these three sources and on a total buy list of 4 items the combined price varied by less than 3 dollars, BUT the shipping charges varied by nearly $20 so it pays to shop around and look at the total cost . .

I've persnly found Seven to have the best technical advice when ordering but that's subjective opinion. Get on Seven's mailing list for their quarterly specials flier - it usually has a good tech article as an included freebie.

I also recommend if considering jumping in but a newbie, subscribe to MiniWorld. It is NOT CHEAP, but every month I learn something very usefull - excellent technical articles. You might find it at a large book store like Barnes (if you can FIND a large book store like Barnes . . ) or check it out at http://www.miniworld.co.uk/

p.s. go to the Moss site and order a catalog - it has great line drawings of darn near everything and makes a very handy reference for part numbers etc. Several times I've been able to tell if I needed THIS one or THAT one by looking at their pictures - and altho similar pictures can be found on line, sometimes having a book (a free book) is darn handy....

Ditto on the two mentioned above, but I've also had good experiences with MiniSport and MiniSpares UK. Even with shipping across the pond I saved money. As expected, the UK suppliers generally have more things in stock. I placed a large order from MiniSpares, expecting to wait a couple of weeks for shipping, handling, Customs, etc, and the package was on my doorstep in 3 days.

Shipping is key. What is your region?
7 ent has minimania way beat for real not misleading advise.

All good sites, also check out MG or british car sites for good leads.
I'm new to the scene too and having a hell of a time finding stuff stateside.

Also you'll find most everything on the car uses a British Standard Whitworth thread and wrench size. Found that out rebuilding the carb, adjusting choke etc..

Here's a wrench conversion chart to help.

Wonder why there is such a price difference in their Stage 1 kits?
