I just think we need more ideas for new contests. Like most suspenseful story-writing? First one to beat 'Ola up for not FINISHING!? (just kidding, sweetie....) Best re-interpretation-summation? (Although MINI-IZED might get that one every time...)

So at this point, I don't know whom the cars are registered under.
That really sucks.

They "couldn't" or "didn't want to"? Seems really weird that they have no registration info for a current license plate.

Yeah, I know. It's weird. They ran both plates, but something kept them from getting information. They couldn't figure out whether it was on their end or Florida's...

Funny, I finally get the chance to get on here and most of you have "left the building".

We are not having internet problems... I was just not able to write yesterday. We had A/C problems here and A/C problems at our condo. There is possibly a much bigger issue involved with this but we wouldn't know unless we do some expensive testing. I don't want to delve into this right now... it has just crushed a bit of the feisty spirit.

Personally, I don't think that she is who she says she is.

This reminds me of a bunch of posts she made about a plate she wanted to get (it was all over the 8thgencivic forums). It was quite obvious that she wanted everyone to know about it. I think it was "0101001" (but I'd have to go check again)... surely it's supposed to mean something... but I'm a "PC" person so... . Maybe THAT one could work... or maybe "Magnum PI CC" knows someone. Or someone knows someone?

Well, she DID claim to write code here on NAM -- in some of the NAV threads.... But i'm an idiot - have no idea what that particular arrangement of code stands for...

Here's the link to just one of the many discussions about her "0101001". Also she mentions "X FIRE" but she probably wouldn't keep that one if she doesn't have that car anymore.

If I remember correctly, there was some conversation about how it was supposed to stand for "Cybergypsy" (spelled a different way though). There was also CORRECTION made by some people that were probably REAL code writers that told her she was stupid and it didn't mean what she thought it would mean.

If you're bored, Google "Cybergypsy 0101001" and see all the stuff that comes up.

Well, if your binary is right, that is the binary for 86, which is "V" in ascii... so um... why would she want that?

Also... binary's not a mac or pc thing, it's an old school puter nerd thing. I had to ask one of the brain trust boys what it meant because a google search only turned up that it was the title of a song by a group called "binary". Ah... the irony.

Oh yeah, back in December I think I remember reading her post somewhere that Chrysler ended up "owning" the Crossfire because supposedly someone with the finance department FORGED her name and that it wasn't HER that signed it. It think it's just a way to "pretty up" what happens when the REPO man visits. Just guessing though... Purely hypothetical.

Okay... it's supposed to have another 1 on the end of it, which makes it mean "s" which is of course... for Sandy...

You can get more creative with Binary than that... allow me to educate you:

I have no idea why she would except that she was just trying to show off. I just referred to the "PC" because of the commercials between "Apple" and "PC"... "PC" is always the dumb one.

I did not know how to use a computer or even how to turn one on until college... I went later than my peers. Anyway, I had a course that I was told to take... "Intro to BASIC"... which ended up NOT being the basic computer skills course that I was supposed to have... it was learning how to write programs. My little brother had to help me with that whole class. Our school started with computer stuff when he was in high school so he had the exposure that I didn't. I was too into boys and working and keeping my grades up (and dealing with being sick) to be involved then. And to this day... BASIC is BLOCKED from my memory. PTSD I presume.

TGIF you-all!

What a fascinating, entertaining, suspenseful and educational thread this has turned out to be.

Just a possible warning about Smiley Central; when I clicked for free download, this was seen:

Could just be that I have my security hueristics on a high setting.

Or it could be the price of 'Free' software.

Could be high settings... hard to say.

I'm glad you're enjoying yourself here.
