Free Classic Mini...
What could be better than this thread. I had a "heck" of a day and nearly took some managment folks out back, if you get my drift. Then I come home driving my MINI, pick up my poodle baby who is healing nicely by the way, flip on the TV to see that the "Italian Job" is on and to top it off, click to this thread. All is good with the world.
Poor MINI, and yes I am a dull accountant and her name is MINI, I was watching her little flat tire indicator all the way home tonight just in case she went off-roading again. Her tire held but I am sure I will monitor her recovery for a few days before I quit watching her like a hawk, non-stop. I cannot imagine any other car handling so well with a complete tire failure while going 70 miles and hour. I only noticed what sounded like snow tires and then a slight pulling to the right. I then saw her little light. I am sold on run flats.
Oh I need to update my HERR B story. About two years ago, well maybe more like a year and a half, I took HERR B to the VW Spring Fling in the next town. We followed a little pink bug with one of those dune buggy open engine arrangements (must be drafty for the poor little thing with its innards hanging out there) when we noticed that it was flinging something at us. We dropped back and upon reaching the Fair Grounds discoverd that it had spewed oil all over the front of my baby. Good thing I always carry the emergency quick detailing kit! Well anyway, HERR B entered his first car show and was placed in the "Special Interest" category. While he did not win anything he made new friends AND he met his idol! You got it, the REAL Herbie was there! He even had his enemy the Evil Black Bug with him. I don't remember the Black Bug so I think I am going to have to revisit the Herbie movies. We had a great conversation with the owner and he even made my HERR B an honoree "fill-in" Herbie for local public appearances.
The event had all sorts of VW events. There was the contest of who had the most VW tatoos, Matchbox VW races, Banana eating contests (what that had to do with VW's I have no clue) and then the one that I simply could not watch. I nearly became completely unhindged. They took bets on how long a VW engine would run without oil! I am cringing now just thinking about it. It ran for nealy 15 minutes and was blowing smoke and making the most gawd awful noices you could imagine. As far as I was concerned, it was murder! I don't care if it was "only" an engine in a cage, they torchered that engine. I say lock em up! That was pure evil.
Well time to sign off for the evening another day at the Big City tomorrow. But you know what, I can take anything they throw at me. I have my MINI, my white fluffy child and another installment of the MINI Series to look forward too. Man, I hope I can sleep tonight just thinking about what was left in the woods...... another murdered VW engine?

Could cut down on getting ready for work in the morning and my car would be clean too. And if I take the dog..... maybe I could save grooming fees? Something to consider.

OK, sorry for the suspense, but I just got back to a computer. Ok, first off, I want to thank RandomGemini for enlightening me by posting those link to macworld regarding her past sales experience... Well, needless to say, I signed up over there, got in contact with a couple of guys who had prior dealing with her, and one person in particular had done his own sleuthing around. He provided me with a picture of her receipt from when she shipped out the package to him. Well, I know when I ship out a package, my phone number is on it in case it gets lost or something. Well I did a phone search and it came back from Ocala, Fl. Then I remember reading somewhere about a Sandy Gambino living in Ocala. Well I had done a prior search for Sandy Gambino, came across her house, did a street level view to try and cross reference that with the pictures Crazy Sandy had posted on her Cardomain page... No such luck. However, when I looked up Sandy Gambino again, you can imagine my amazement when I saw this...
Part 2 of my installment will come in next weeks episode "Exhibit A" stay tuned!

My contribution to the general "thumb-twiddling" between 'Ola's segments!
To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine... And those who don't.
As Ben Franklin said: In wine there is wisdom,
In beer there is freedom,
In water there is bacteria.
In a number of carefully controlled trials, scientists have demonstrated that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. Coli) - bacteria found in feces. In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop.
However, we do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer (or tequila, rum, whiskey or other liquor) because alcohol has to go through a purification process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.
Remember:
Water = Poop,
Wine = Health.
Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk stupid,
Than to drink water and be full of ****.
There is no need to thank me for this valuable information: I'm doing it as a public service. Cheers!

There are already people asking me for the latest MINI SERIES... but that's just FLUFF to fill in while we wait for you.
Sandy Gambino... interesting. So is she part of the big crime mob? Living the high life in the single wide?
If she's on the witness protection program to protect herself from them... she's not keeping a very low profile.
You'd better make it faster than next week. I can get to your house before then.
(Just have to buy some different tires for crappy weather.)
