That's sweet! Makes me want to take mine all apart again and paint it. Did you do the inside of the doors and dash or is that next.
....since there are gonna be door inserts i decided not to paint them......im prob gonna get some sound deadner product to install in there anyways....as far as the dash....it's a padded dash, so not gonna paint that
stunnung turn around you must be well pleased with the finish is it 2pak or old fashioned celoloise...................well done and now the fun starts when you put things on and trying not to scuff paintwork................
all mini rear valances are the same pressings from mk1 through to mk5 as it would of been to expensive to change presses
Oh no.. There are some very subtle differences in Mk1 and Mk2.. I have the wrong valance on mine, two differences are front mounting points and outside corners. M-Machine has the different ones available now.. When I replaced mine it was back in the 80's and could only get the newer valance. the outside corners are the most obvious. Mk1 had a more rounded edge where the MK2 has two curves, comes down more sharply then has another curve. The mk1 has a continuous curve. I saw it right way on Norms. the mounting points are kinda hidden. Also looks like the plate mounts are wider. Not sure but where the mustache goes might be wider on the MK1 too. There are some other differences between Mks as well, M-Machine has them all though. They do however interchange.
OOPS...sorry, that's front valance I re-read your comment, you said rear valance
M-Machine shows rear valance for MK1-3 with one part number and MK3 on as another.. cant see any visual differences though.
Norman, I really like the round butt. I had never noticed that before but sure do like the look. Missing the stock, huge barton bumper is dangerous though.
The color is "classic" and posh like a bass player in a smokey jazz room...I dig.
The car looks awesome - I can only hope to have something that looks that great later this winter Reading the posts, I was not aware of all the subtle changes from model to model!
